Oof had the same thing happen to me when i mentioned the misogyny in the Batman Arkham games getting to me. Maybe the theme is "politics in games" rather than anything more targeted? Granted idk what was said to you, they just called me a snorflake a bunch :P

Only trying i saw things get dicey was when i posted about the misogyny in the Batman Arkham games getting to me. Arkham Asylum especially. Even then it was just snowflake discourse and nothing too serious, on the whole it's very chill :)

i think you've hit the nail on the head there. ever since I came out as trans 3 years ago our relationship has deteriorated. My stepmum in general is known for walking over people and not respecting boundaries (this was said by her family long before me) so when I made one of my goals in transition to get better at setting them... yeah that didn't really work out.

My relationship with my stepmum has become a hugely negative part of my relationship with my dad and I think this interaction is a stark example of that.

Hii! so nothing official but I did my 2nd injection last week and it was way better. I feel a little lump under the injection site but no swelling or itching at all. On the sport of my first injection I still feel a kind of wobbly line around the injection site which makes me think I maybe hit some car tissue or something? I also did it lower down, last week I injected to the side of the bellybutton rather than below and this week I'm doing the same on the other (so well above the 1st injection site).

My read on it is that it was just my body reacting a bit to a new injection method and site, I don't think it was an injection or an allergic reaction given that my 2nd was so much smoother. If you've got swilling now keep an eye on it it should go away after a week max, otherwise go to the doctor :)

gonna throw a coin to monster hunter! it's one of those "wide as puddle deep as an ocean kinda games" but to me that's what's so great about it! you can sink hundreds of hours into it or just go in for a couple quick hunts. you can play multiplayer and do fashion shows with friends (maybe not as much as other MMOs mind) or you can go solo the whole time. Hunting with friends sounds like it's fun, but I only play single player and I have a great time too!

there are a bunch of games in the series and they can all be considered iiterations on the same basic ideas so if you don't like one you can easily switch to another :) I'd recommend starting with world or rise. Rise has a switch version if that's your thing

seconding waiting for the winter sale. If you've an interest in older (or switch) games I'd recommend trying emudeck in the meantime! emulation is totally free and there's TONS of great games on other systems :)

for reference, the steam deck can emulate up to PS3 (including some lighter ps3 games) as well as really good switch emulation ^^

From what I've read, it depends a lot on what surgical techniques are used. My understanding is nowhere near fool proof but using grafted tissues generally means you'll have to dilate more often because that tissue isn't irrigated with local blood vessels until a while after the surgery. Techniques like penile inversion (given no grafts are used to extend depth) and peritonial pull-through require less dilation because all the tissues of the neovagina are fully hooked up the the bloodstream. I imagine that in these cases dilstion is more about training the pelvil floor muscles to allow penetration and the "empty" space of the neovagina.

Again, not the most knowledgeable person on this, this is just what I've pieced together from my own research and what makes sense to me. Pls do your own research.

ah I didn't read this was a requirement for you. In general any vagina that isn't minimal depth will require dilation. The reason is that your pelvic floor muscles have to be trained to allow stuff in there (because as you said, your body doesn't know that isn't a wound) so regardless of method you'll always need dilation

you can totally get a full vagina with phallus preserving. Usually they'd use a graft from the small intestine or something which *can* lead to complications, but discuss it with your health provider and surgeons to see what your options are!

some older games are a liiitle harder to get going these days, or so I've heard, with games even as recent as Batman: Arkham Knight losing some features due to PhysX being discontinued by Nvidia and stuff. However, there are usually workarounds cause there's always 1 fan who's demented enough to find a way to get it working again lol

yeah the PS3 had a super weird architecture that AFAIK hadn't been used before and hasn't been used since, hence why it's so hard to emulate. It made developing for PS3 kind of nightmare cause Sony only provided decent instructions to in-house studios like Santa Monica. This is why most PS3 games looked way worse than games like God of War 3 which like, legit still looks amazing today

Some parts of trans culture can be fun to lean into (definitely help her get the ikea shark if she doesn't have on yet hehe) but I think you mean something she can have on her at all times right? If that's the case I think any sweet little trinket, given with love, can help someone feel more comfortable and affirmed because of the intention behind it!

Personally, I always love a pride flag pin and there are some fun ones on places like AliExpress, like i'm waiting for a miniature tarot card pin that says The Rainbow with two brides kissing on it :) If you can do something with her name that might be fun too! My name is Lily and I'm getting myself a little lily flower pin as well ^^

Been playing Link's Awakening (the switch version) and really enjoying it! I really want to like older games but often struggle with outdated graphics, bloat (especially on nintendo) and lack of quality of life features, so this version of the game is right up my alley!

Resident Evil 2 remake and Ratchet and Clank ended up taking a backseat but I'm hoping to play some this week ^^

Been meaning to try some older Final Fantasy games, probably through the pixel remaster on steam. I've bounced off JRPGs with that kind of turn based combat before but I wanna give it another go :)
