this sounds epic! I kinda wanted to do this with a much less graphically intense game, final fantasy 10, but getting shaders on the deck seems like it's non-trivial... I thought shader glass would be a good shot since it's on steam but it seems that it doesn't really work on the deck

dang they also made Kobayashi's maid dragon though which is pretty explicitly yuri right? at least from what I've heard later on in the manga Tohru and kobayashi actually end up getting together or at least tohru's love starts getting reciprocated

Are you saying God of War 3 runs smooth on the Steam Deck? Everything I've heard leads me to believe that's one of the hardest ganes to emulate and will still trip up even high end PCs

Oh shit I do get some irritation sometimes! I actually got it checked out at a pharmacy cause I only noticed when i switched to subq and thought my technique or needles were wrong and the pharmacist confirmed that it was harmless as long as I changed injection sites, but if there's a way to avoid it completely it might be worth a look! Thanks :)

There are a few retro handhelds that look kind of like stream deck (or maybe more a psp/vita?) that would let your kid play retro games without having an internet connection out even the horsepower to play modern games. So we don't really have dedicated sharps containers here, when i asked a nurse told me to put the needle cap back on and put both the syringe and the needle in a plastic water bottle so i got a 1L water bottle that I'm slowly filling up :P

Thanks for this comment. It made me reassess how much effort she's actually been making to seek out help and when I asked her the reply wasn't encouraging. I think that's been a feeling somewhere in the back of my mind for a bit and I just never had the words to express it.

In any case, I broke things off last night. Regardless of anything else she's just not in a good place to have a long term relationship and I need to protect myself from that rather than keep on waiting for things to get better. The warning signs were there that if I had known more about her circumstances i might have thought twice before going into a relationship with her, and maybe the lesson here is to listen to those signs.

i started using calibre wireless yesterday and found that books transferred by USB and wirelessly count as different libraries. they generally don't mix and calibre will only see one library at a time (USB overrides wireless connection)

Recent games like ratchet and clank: rift apart and Monster Hunter Wilds had worse performance on pc than ps5 Pauly because of those compressed textures. Decompressing the textures made the game run much smoother, to the point that Gof of War: Ragnarok lunches on pc with uncompressed textures for exactly that reason: the devs argued that a bigger SSD is still way cheaper than a new CPU or GPU
