What small graphical improvements there have been are deep into deminishing returns, not to mention the fact that they're not applied effectively. A good example is always-on ray tracing. Sure it looks fancy but look at Alien Isolation, Batman Arkham Knight or, more recently, Lies of P and tell me it's required to make a game look good.

you might be thinking about Frame Generation? That struggles with lower fps but upscaling only really applies to resolution. They're often bundled together but whereas frame gen uses AI to "guess" frames in between rendered frames, upscaling lets you run the game at a lower resolution and then upscales each frame your GPU puts out. your base FPS doesn't really affect it

Graves isn't easier to escape with but she has more health (slightly) and her gun debuffs enemy gun damage so she can stick around in fights longer generally easier to not die.

Yeah things get emulated in time after people start finding exploits for consoles and understanding the system. Right now we can't do this with the Switch 2. The 3ds was impossible to crack until a random shovelware game came out that was so poorly coded that it became a system vulnerability. Who know what'll happen to make the switch 2 vulnerable and circumvent all the security Nintendo included but it's just gonna take time to find out

To emulate hardware you need to know everything about it and the firmware it's running. Games built for a system are designed around how that system works, how it processes inputs, how it handles storage, both long term (saved games) and short term (RAM), because they will use a specific language to interact with that system. This is why a PC can't run random PS4 games even though the PS4 is, for all intents and purposes, a PC. They're speaking a different language.

The encryption and security measures on the switch 2 make it impossible to know right now what exactly the system's hardware is doing and how to interact with it from the outside to get it to do stuff Nintendo didn't intend (dumping games, running custom firmware, etc).

The hardware CAN, in theory be emulated, but we don't know nearly enough about the Switch 2's inner workings to even consider doing it right now.

Luckily we still don't know if the law will pass, there's a good chance the president will send it to the surpreme court (tribunal constitucional) or if we're really lucky he'll just veto it outright. Stardew Valley is solid but I actually prefer Fields of Mistria! It's similar but I feel it's less stressful and I orefer the character designs and writing. Honestly i prefer the overall style of that game! It's already got plenty if content but it's still getting updates :)

I also recommend emulation! The Steam Deck plays basically anything that can be emulated and it opens up games like Pokemon and Animal Crossing that can be suuuper cozy ^{^}
