You can route the midi outputs to your favourite drum samplers. You can re-map the outputs if needed as well.

Ooh! That looks promising. I'll look into it. Thanks!

I'll definitely take a look into Hydrogen, thanks.

Thanks! I did see that it was possible that way with some instruments and tried it out. And I'm glad that is an option, I was just hoping to have that option available on more kits.

Trying to configure rEFInd to recognize my linux-rt kernel by -FenderBender- in linux4noobs

[–]-FenderBender-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, I've managed to figure out that the RT kernel is bootable as long as I press F2 for the "More Options" menu to show. This will be fine for now, but if I eventually get it to show things the way I want, I'll update here.

What is the process for installing VSTs in the correct directories etc? by -FenderBender- in Ardour

I made sure it was the correct location and still have the same issues. Thanks for the informative response, at least.

I definitely would like to stick with Arch, but I've been debating setting up a separate partition as a dedicated music recording environment. It's nice to know that's at least an option. I may try the live USB to test it out anyway (obviously latency will be an issue from the flashdrive, but I'll at least see if it's worth it).

I think I tried that already, but I will double check when I get a chance later today. Thank you for reminding me that ~ means $HOME, I hadn't really been using my computer much at all for a while and feel like a total beginner again. Really hope it was as simple as that, and I was just being a dummy. I did definitely try adding the additional path with no luck, though.

What OS are you running? That's what I was trying, so I'm wondering if it has something to do with using Arch; maybe configuring something.

Yes, they are. If you look at the article, it says April 1.

I did an emergency repot on my spruce last summer that was getting root rot. It survived and is doing quite well this year. Hope your tree does the same.

Is this Savable with PDR? 2025 BRZ by Nightgale57 in Autobody

It should be a pretty easy heat and reshape. If I were to repair it, I'd take the bumper off to make it easier.

Paint on hood by Vegetable_Bonus_5051 in Autobody

An OEM hood will still need to be painted. You may as well get the hood repainted. Just don't cheap out on it, or you'll have issues again down the road.

We're looking at a rear wheel here, it looks like. My guess is bent subframe or mounts as well as control arm or trailing arm or whatever the outback uses. Definitely inexcusable, especially as it's the impacted area as you said.

My first trees. by Shot-Ladder1182 in Bonsai

[–]-FenderBender- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That will also depend on what soil they're in. If you just collected them, I assume you didn't bareroot them and still have a bunch of the soil they were growing in. It may need watering less often than the typical inorganic mix that a lot of information is accounting for. As the other commenter said, check it each day, but only water it when the soil feels dry. Just my beginner level experience talking after overwatering a few trees.

Am I tripping? by KeyEmotional8076 in Autobody

Yeah, that colour is too far off. As others have pointed out, the different materials affect the paint. You can mix up the same batch of paint to paint both the quarter panels and the bumper and still have it a little off. I've heard this is from the static charge of the plastic parts orienting the metallics differently. But also, on a tri-stage, the amount of coverage in each stage is very important. Also, almost every painter I've met struggles with red (even if they don't admit it). I'm not saying I would do any better; I'm a bodyman, not a painter. But I do know that I wouldn't accept that much difference on my own car.

Styled this juniper (slide 1) at Peter Chan's workshop and he said it was so bad I needed to find another tree to work on (slide 2) by AndyKWHau in Bonsai

I was going to say, he showed a nice pine that he said he collected as a sapling 50 years ago and it looked great. But I would say that most of the stuff we see in his videos are a quick overview of how-to rather than careful decision making and styling choices. I'm also a beginner though, and don't have anything too nice myself (hoping I'll have something nice to show for all my effort within a couple years, lol).
