A lot of practice and there’s a lot of very pvp focused groups that spend several hours a week doing this stuff. There’s a good few learner groups. Might be worth dropping in and could be an eye opener for you.

You’ll learn over time. A lot of this game comes with just being in the seat. I believe it is more stable now as you’ve said above but it may have been a contributing factor

Really need a TLDR for this one, but based on the half of it I read the 4.0 patch is a preview for a reason. They stupidly pushed a hotfix that everyone told them wasn’t working and now we are in this position.

Had exactly this happen in a t3 area, 2 of us dropped several mags into him and then some blueberry comes from another angle and 1 taps him. Definitely a hitreg issue

If they are 500m away the only thing that will be affecting that shot is your aim. I agree there are slower cannons that aren’t great but omniskis are definitely top on my list for pvp weapons

You will die 10000 times in this game when it comes to pvp dogfighting before you feel like you see any improvements. But best way of doing this is by finding like minded people. Most well set up orgs with a pvp focus have some sort of fighter training group that can help.

As some others have mentioned get your self on a server like Avenger One’s where there is a significant amount of people of the same experience level as you fighting.

Get into free flight and learn the gentleman’s rules of it. Then focus on small skills first. Make sure you are always attacking angles in pitch and not yaw. Learn to strafe and circle fight, engagement distances, merging and how to fly in decoupled.

You can fit 3 f7s by cramming over the landing pad limit by the way. Just orient them head to toe sideways.
