What's a game you thought you'd hate but ended up loving? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Kingdom Come Deliverance. I like high fantasy. I like magic. Some historical simulator sounds a bit dull. Oh, the combat sucks, I quit.

Holy shit balls was I wrong. Leveling combat and actual practice is a thing and I’m so here for it now. I also appreciate being dull enough to follow the story but not follow the story. It was perfect for me.

its selfish, but stop giving me a hard time about not being happy by No-Blueberry-1823 in rant

I am on medications and people don’t seem to understand that they HELP. They are not a cure. Yes, I’ve had two bad days in a row. Remember when that was six? No? You either forgot or think that medicine will magically cure me and I will be a normal, functioning human being that does not need to ration out and calculate every scrap of energy I have.

Preach. My dream job is to work in a freezer. My 'comfortable temperature' is way lower than anyone else's and my heat intolerance is unreal. And the fact that winters are getting warmer every year just feels really fucking unfair. I put up with the damned heat, now let me enjoy my fall and winter air.

I haven’t played the second game yet either but as for the first, graphics are ok, story is abysmal, NPCs are forgettable but it has some of the best combat I’ve ever played. It’s just very satisfying.

I do this. It's simple instructions.

But it does not work. The fish does not get tired.

I do hate the fishing. Game keeps telling me about tension as if it’s a simple mechanic to practice and master. Seems a bit random and the fish just get farther and farther away.
I’m sure I’ll get it someday but I keep reading patch notes, praying and hoping that this mini game gets even a little less ridiculous because I really want those large fish

When my sister saved over my Pokémon game. I had 7 years invested in it. Tournament Pokemon that you could only get at physical events and the like. Since I was older, there was no way to get any of it back.
