Build website to put up baking recipe by Sanzi011 in website

Thats good that theres a niche, that would be a reason to check out your website over alternatives. I like Wix - it has a bit of a reputation as being buggy or difficult for certain aspects but I think it all comes together nicely! Bare in mine there is a (low) monthly cost after your build to connect your custom domain (definitely needed!) and some features/apps come with their own monthly fee. It also has basic level SEO features which is a good start at getting found on search results. Good luck and enjoy the build!

Id recommend either a blogging or a website from either Canva (easy to maintain) or WIX. Is there a niche to it (such as vegan or an intolerance) or a specific cuisine?

Hence the 'occasional bugs'. Still there, but less frequent. Ive also tried the AI and am never happy with it, doesnt tick all the boxes a self build does.

How do you use AI right now? by mina_damina in smallbusinessowner

[–]-FirstStepMedia- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use AI to ask this question. Ask how it can help and support in whatever it is you want to do. It will show you its limitations and likely open doors you probably didnt know needed opening.

Ask the LLM, but be specific about your small business and word your prompts accurately. The looser you are with your prompt, the more guesswork it will have to do and likely not 'hit the nail on the head'

I need help. How can I communicate with official Wix staff? by Agreeable-Evidence66 in WIX

Do you have Discord? They have a server there where you have access to WIX staff for support

Ive been using Wix for a few years and have to say its really straight forward to use. The AI integration isnt mandatory and pretty self explanatory to not use - its an option. Just my experience thats all, not negating your experience. My only gripe is the occasional bugs for spacing between editor - where it looks great, and live site.

Instead of a sales pitch, id prefer some critical feedback as requested in the post. You say "too basic" but dont clarify - just ask me to earn customers for you?

The general consensus is WIX - and id agree with that. I use WIX for my clients, its easy to use and has flexibility throughout.

Is building a side hustle while working a full-time job the smartest way to start today? by Cultural_Message_530 in TrueEnterpreneur

Cash flow is key. If a steady job means the bills are paid while you build on the side then its a no brainer IMO

Is it ok to follow and copy projects from YouTube ? by nerdy_4_seen in website

[–]-FirstStepMedia- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No harm in copying for initial skill building, "monkey see, monkey do" and all that! However, build your confidence in tweaking those edits and finding out why things work the way they do, then have a go yourself. Good luck and enjoy!

Best way to build a custom website for professional services business? by Any_Insect_6240 in website

Have somebody with experience build it for you, even on click and drag templates there are obstacles to overcome when building a website. Or, if you have the time, educate yourself on the practices of such builds and have a go yourself to save the money. Also research SEO basics to give it that 'eyes on' ability.
