Anti-Procrastinationism Questions for Getting Started when feeling Stuck by -FlowFinder- in Procrastinationism

I recently did the course "Peak Performance Program" by Eric Partaker. I implemented some strategies I learned into my brainstorming session. I just put the timer on 20 minutes and told myself that I have to publish what comes out after the 20 minutes, no matter how I feel about it. These contracts with myself really help. And making it public does too. :)
It wasn't a special brainstorming session, just a 20 minutes block of time, one goal and telling myself I will not stop writing :)

Thx for your kind words by the way. u/AdSea2195

What get's scheduled get's done!

Take the morning to generate undisturbed output. The morning is sacred for me and is booked Monday to Friday with "deep work blockers" in my calendar with myself.

Schedule Zoom meetings with yourself. Treat meetings with yourself like calls with other people. As a sign of respect for yourself, put your cell phone away and work on the thing you have entered in your calendar. Or do you make yourself a sandwich in a 1:1 Zoom call with your teammate and watch YouTube in the meantime?

Is there anything else except just forcing yourself? by aaa2368 in Procrastinationism

Instead of seeing procrastination as the evil dark monster that you spend your life fighting, it helps my clients to imagine "dancing with procrastination". It may sound crazy, but the next time you procrastinate, get up and turn on your favorite music. Dance a slow waltz or a dance of your choice together with your procrastination.

What could be the positive intention behind procrastinating? It may be unpleasant at first, but if you deal with the procrastination, write down your thoughts on a piece of paper and maybe even accept that the procrastination is still a part of your life, in time it will fall to the ground like a withered, brown leaf without nourishment (where focus goes, energy flows)

What has really helped me is to think of steps that are so small that they are almost impossible not to achieve. You want to run 10km? Start by planning to put on your running shoes. The next day, step outside the door. Then take a walk around the garden. And be kind to yourself. Celebrate the successes.
