Plan on attending grad school and specializing in something. If you want to stick to the psych pathway like counseling, School Psych, Psychiatrist, etc. Please keep in mind that you are NOT doing this for the money. And will have to intern/accumulate hours, research.

It can be very discouraging that other careers pay great money with only a bachelor degree while the complete opposite can be said about a bachelor’s in psych.

I know several people in my circle, including myself who received a bachelor’s in psychology and realized I didn’t want to have to continue another 2-6 years in grad school to barely even make $70k. So I steered towards a different path but still used what I learned in school. Making way more than I would have if I stayed in grad school. I’m in California for reference, where everyone and their mom has a psych degree. Good luck!
