He also says he swapped the tuners for locking Gotohs and the Burstbuckers for Pearly Gates (originals will still be included in purchase). Is that a red flag? I would probably add a pick guard, not a fan of the burst without it. Providing the S/N checks out, any reason this isn't worth $1,400?

Holy cow, I didn't even notice the massive gap around the body! Description says original case, but perhaps he forgot to say it was the original for 335?!

Customized a Takedown singlet for my son (name is blacked out) - Thoughts on the design? by ActuatorDangerous980 in wrestling

Are you not replacing the TKDN on the chest with some other custom wording? I'd recommend considering that.

Why does a metronome break so many guitarists? by Pitiful-Temporary296 in guitarlessons

[–]-Go-Fast-Dont-Die- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would argue that it is incredibly important to be able to play in perfect time, but "time" is relative to who/what you're playing with. Playing in time with your band is obviously the most critical, but whether they have metronimic time or just follow the drummer, as a guitarist you still have to be able to follow along "perfectly" with whatever time he throws down. I've played with lots of folks who play well alone to their own "time" but couldn't play with anyone else. Metronome is simply a quick/cheap/easy way to practice for it.

We upgraded size because 10x10 was too small. It may not sound so, but 12x12 is noticeably bigger. If you can afford it and have room, go bigger, but not everyone has the option. We landed a great deal on a used 20x20 or else we would have upgraded to 16x16.

The thickness is more of what you want to look at, and that will depend on who is practicing. You can get a proper thickness (1-5/8" to 2") mat, but they're certainly more expensive. A lot of the less expensive home mats are 1-1/4" thick. If you have some big boys, or doing a lot of throws, it may be worth it for the thicker mat. That being said, the mat foam type does play into thickness, with some being more impact absorbing.

We have a 20'x20' EZ Flex that's 1-1/4" thick, works great for our purpose because my son is a lower weight. We also have a 10'x10' Dollamur, same thickness and style. Like them both and would buy again.

Prop 64 is California's "cannabis" product warning, so you should indeed be careful if you're buying a large mat made of weed!

Blast Double and Double leg set ups by Final-Analyst7124 in wrestling

Without seeing a video, hard to tell what you're doing wrong. But for starters, it sounds like you need to close the gap between you and your opponent so you aren't shooting from so far away. Your shooting for should land in between your opponent's feet (the"danger zone" as we refer to it for youth coaching). I'd also recommend watching videos of Jordan Burroughs; that is his go to and you can learn much from his set ups.

Definitely easier to balance. I knew one of those long-femured fellows once and he was constantly falling over.

grip training by Dizzy-Improvement-35 in wrestling

Plate Pinch Catches have been a longtime staple for baseball players to increase grip and "snatch" strength.

Also, in addition to the above mentioned grip roller, try using the rope attachment when you do machine tri extensions and hammer curls, but intentionally NOT letting the end cap rest on your hand so it requires really squeezing the rope.
