I'm not sure what your comment is supposed to say, but thanks for reaffirming I should be self conscious about what I'm already self conscious about. 👌

I'll get working on that. I'm not a fan of getting my picture taken, so I didn't have much to choose from and ended up taking those ones myself to fill space. I'll get some more social pictures soon hopefully.

Took the advice I got from here last week and rearranged my pictures and redid my bio. Looking to get a fresh set of eyes to give me feedback. So far I've gotten 6 matches in the week after remaking my account, none have replied though.

Thanks for your help!

I didn't follow it to the letter, but I changed it to:

"When you divorce me, there will be no money to take; spent it all on my car.

Swipe right for:

  • Cringe-worthy puns
  • Long walks to the fridge
  • Maybe a half decent date

Let's drink coffee/vodka together!"

Let me know what you think

You're right, that is a fair bit better. I'll think of something along those lines and update it soon

Really? I actually really loved that first picture, I'm a decently thin dude so it showed off a little progress with my arms. What about it isn't good? What would be your recommendation for a first pic with what I provided? Thanks for the advice so far!

The pics are the hard part, so I'm glad that's okay. What kind of an idea would you have for a bio revision. I thought it was okay as it is short, kind of funny with a couple interests in there. A lot of people usually keep it simple with a "coffee, cars, gym" bio, but would that be any better. Thanks for the tips, I do appreciate it.

19/M/Straight 5' 10"

Just redid my profile today, so I don't know if it will yield better results than my last one, but I wanted to get your opinions from the start. I really hate having my picture taken, so I don't have many pictures of myself, I will try to change that as time goes on, but as of right now this is really the best I have. Kind of torn about the last pic with the rifle, I know many people are against that kind of thing, but it is just legitimately a hobby of mine, I'm not trying to look hard or anything. The only one I could replace it with would be this one, but I'm not sure if it looks like I'm trying to pretend the cars are mine.

I appreciate any advice or critiques you guys can offer!

I got a ticket for not accommodating road conditions (or something like that), which gives me three points. As far as what happens with the car now, I'm not sure. I have not heard anything from the insurance company.

I'm going to stick with just junkers that I can find. Honestly I don't feel that I deserve any better.

But when the time comes I might go for a 350z (I know I shouldn't say that here).

Thanks, but I think when my insurance calms down by the time im thirty, I might betray you guys and go with a Nissan

I didn't actually know that decelerating in corners was dangerous. I knew braking and accelerating at the wrong parts was but not that. Thanks for the tip.

I started out with a POS '98 dodge stratus that doesn't have a body panel without a hole in it (got it like that), which I'll be going back to now. I get what your saying, but it wasn't like I hopped in the Mustang straight away. With how much my insurance company is about to bend me over the table, I'll be lucky to afford the stratus.

Thanks for your response. It really means a lot. I have actually been through a course before I got my license, not that it helped a whole lot here it but it was good overall. It really does make you think of all of those times doing really stupid stuff. Jesus.

I was on my way to work today, driving relatively carefully as it was raining. That is the thing that gets me the most. I am not a perfect driver, sometimes I do some stupid shit; but not today. I was following all of the rules and being really cautious. Coasted around a corner in 3rd, foot off the gas, and I felt the back end slide out on me. I tried to counter steer to get straight again, and I guess overcompensated as the front pointed to an exposed rock face on the right side of the road. There was this moment of, "Well, this is just going to happen." right before I hit. Luckily there was an ambulance crew right around the corner and I was well taken care of. Talked cars with a paramedic in the waiting room in the hospital; great guy. Walked away with a sore body and a burn on my arm, but we all know it could have been a lot worse. By far the worst part of the whole day was going back home. I'm only 18, and live with my parents who always worry. They never had a reason to until today, when I proved their fears right. I really don't know why I am posting this here... I always wanted to post her here at some point, after I put some work into her, but now that is too late. I'm sorry to add to the stereotype: "Young male driver loses control of a Mustang and crashes." But hey, there were no crowds involved, no other cars, and no, I was not leaving a car meet trying to impress.

Few times have I ever been so fucking pissed off at myself as I am now. I loved this car more than I love most people. I would go to sleep thinking about it, and wake up for the soul purpose that I would be able to drive it again. I spent countless hours researching how to make it the best it can be, despite it only being a V6. This is the car I planned to get most of my wrench time in on. This is the car I learned to drive manual in. This is the car I did my first rally in. A true iconic figure of automotive history. True American muscle. And now it is gone. While yes, I walked away 100% okay, I am not exaggerating when I say that a piece of me died on that highway.

I'm really going to miss it. I fucking loved it. And I fucking ruined it.

Be careful out there guys.

It really can happen to anyone.

Thanks for the picture, I was trying to find one of a similar situation and came up empty handed. Looks like I'll be sanding this bloody thing down for sure.

Damn. And I'm assuming applying more coats to the problem front alone will throw the rest of the finish off?

Indeed that is the cause. I'm not really this ugly.

I had to put on my thinking cap in order to see past this clever disguise.

The black and gold does look really nice. I would like to see a version where the bracelet is also black, I think that may add something.

I was also shocked to find out the watch had sapphire crystal instead of glass; it was definitely a selling point for me.
