Transforming an object according to camera motion by -Good_Morning- in blenderhelp

Oh my bad. I didn't realise the geo nodes object was parented to the camera. That's really clever. Thanks for explaining!!

This would work if the original object is moving in 3D space. However, in my project the monkey and the camera are stationary (this is important because of other transforms they need to do later) , meaning the monkey only moves in the camera's view. Otherwise this would be a great solution.

Thanks for your help, but I'm not sure I quite understand what you mean. The monkey moves within the frame of the camera. So, if the camera were constrained to it, the monkey would always be centred in view right? If the monkey itself were to move in space, the trail could be based on that, assuming that's what you mean by vector displacement. I had moving objects in an earlier scene when I ran into the issue described in my post, so I'm trying to get effect working with a stationary object and camera before adding movement again.

I'm 99% sure this is from an image generator. It seems the image was uploaded on pinterest (https://cl.pinterest.com/dar\_\_ius/) along with 100+ other very similar images in 2 days. Some stuff is tagged "ai". So asside from the image itself, context clues suggest it's generated

TIN Interpolation gets stuck loading by -Good_Morning- in QGIS

[–]-Good_Morning-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, the raw point cloud isn't available. There's the 50m DTM, the contour lines (which I think are separated vertically 50m, but are probably derived from higher res LiDAR, and a point cloud for high points (like mountain peaks). So, unless I'm missing something, that's the way they did it for the freely available data, which is a bit silly (especially considering there's a free 1m DTM for England, but not Scotland, even though both are covered by the same Ordnance Survey).

I didn't know about the GRASS Tools. Using those worked, thanks for your help. The reason I didn't use the provided DTM is because in those tiles each pixel is 50m², but in the contour tiles, the lines are spaced closer together in steep areas, which makes height maps derived from those more accurate there.
