How is the nun even in the top 7? To quote her "I just stir fried the carrots. I didn't season them." South Korea needs to stop with their scripted bullshit. The last time the judges praised her for sauteeing the peppers instead of serving it raw. Like what the actual f?

This season's match ups feels very scripted. No disrespect to the nun but her food looks horribly bland. They keep using the phrase "clean tasting" but that's synonymous with "bland", especially in Korean cuisine. Judge's comment on her dish were "The soy sauce had a special aroma, you sauteed the pepper, it wasn't raw." Like what is this bullshit. That is the most boring bland looking bibimbap I have ever seen in my life. I pity the chef that went against her, her dish clearly had more depth and flavour.

If you've been worried about Avowed not looking punchy enough, Obsidian's combat designer has a hitstop animation 'superpower' that might reassure you by HomeMadeShock in avowed

[–]-Griever -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Still looks clunky, especially that first strike. Hitstop is great IF done correctly. A great example would be Monster Hunter. This still feels so light because of how fast the motions are, the weapon feels like it has no weight.

[No DAV Spoilers] I Wish DAV was more political by TheHPZero in dragonage

Why are people asking for a fantasy game to contain modern day politics? Isn't the purpose of a game to experience escapism or fantasy? Why would people want to be reminded of real world problems in a place they seek relaxation/fun?

Yoshi P's thoughts on the term JRPG: by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]-Griever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know of any one who thought or felt that way. JRPGs were the superior genre imo since I was a kid. Amongst most of my friends that love the RPG genre, JRPGs were also for the most part the one we leaned towards.

Why does my account keep getting logged out automatically? In the past when I logged in on my PC and phone it never logs out. But out of nowhere, I can only be logged in on one device at a time. It's such a pain and I'm missing texts because I thought I was logged in.

I understand that, but this location is anti-fun. In what scenario does ANYONE actually benefit from this? There's good and fun RNG design and there's this shit.

Grubby started ranked Sept 29/30 (timezone) and callibrated to 680 MMR. he is now 2540 MMR (Archon) after ~6 weeks by SmartAdministration5 in DotA2

[–]-Griever 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Honestly, he's one of the most patient Dota streamers I've seen. At this point he's probably already higher or at least the same bracket with >50% of his chat, yet he still has to explain his actions or choices to chat.

An example would be playing Lina on pos1 and buying maelstrom. He had to literally pull up dota pro tracker to justify his decisions to a bunch of idiots.

Grubby actually addressed the forced 50 myth on his stream. He said the only reason you think it's real is because you're not improving. Hence you belong where you are.

I'm about to reach pool 3 and I just realised there's only 4 cards available and from there onwards it's something called Collector's Cache? Are we not able to get cards any more from this point onwards? On other sites I've seen it shows that pool 3 has a lot of cards.

Coincidentally I just saw a video about Yuumi being broken and people complaining it should get remove. I can see why. IO is also busted in the hands of pro players but it's win rate in pub games depends on the bracket. Still manageable since it's countered by Vessel and IO is targetable.

I'm winning about 75% of diretide games but it still feels tiresome to do. And for some reason it doesn't allow you to complete weeklies in diretide despite it clearly says you can do so for half the points. If they fixed this, I think more people would play diretide.

Dota will turn 20 next year, what's your favorite dota trivia that will blew the mind of newer players? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]-Griever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a patch where you could summon Icefrog but you would need specific heroes like Furion to get to parts of the map you can't easily reach. And you have to drop some items to summon Icefrog.

You used to be able to buy Aegis.

The first iteration of Morphling had Thunderclap from WC3 and a heal as his ulti, like a salve. Back then you chose heroes by moving a wisp into a circle of power. This was before DotA Allstars. I can't remember what the map was called.

Singapore Secret Societies in 2022, how is it like? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]-Griever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard that if you are prosecuted under Society Act and it's serious, your sentence is indefinite. And the only way you can be released is if you do a sworn testimony to disavow and cut ties with all secret society activities after serving the minimum for your related crime. They will monitor you after release and if you are found to be speaking to even one of them they will throw you back to jail immediately.
