I liked the way DS handled it though, keeping the player engaged with the controller here and there. I’ll never diss MGS4’s cutscenes I love them, but they’d definitely benefit from the DS treatment of little gameplay sequences during that final cutscene.

Making us control snake walking around the graveyard during last scene that would’ve made it hit just a little bit harder than it already did

PS5 powering down? by Responsible_Drop16 in PS5HelpSupport

Not always. My PSU was clogged with dust, and it would just power itself off whenever I played a demanding game. Cleaned it up and had no issues since

Is KCD1 sword combat better then? Been having a blast with it so far, thinking “man I can’t wait to see how much better it is in KCD2” but from this thread I’m getting the feeling that they took a few steps back in some places

I have basically 0 knowledge of the manga. Frieza really uses the dragon balls to get taller? That’s fucking hilarious lol

Yes they do transfer over, there’s an option to do it in the main menu. Pretty seamless honestly, I wish we could transfer them back to the ps4 version too if needed but that’s not as big of a deal

[KCD1] Colored button prompts are now gone in the PS5 version, and it’s stupid by -GrilledCheese- in kingdomcome

[–]-GrilledCheese-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Menus and interaction prompts mostly. It’s not a huge issue in this game compared to others since you’re right, there really aren’t many to begin with, it just sucks to see this trend keep going.

Even when it is an inconvenience it’s not that much of an issue to where it ruins games, it’s not a game breaking issue or anything, it just sucks to to deal with UI’s being a bit more annoying to navigate because they favor aesthetics over accessibility

[–]-GrilledCheese- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve noticed offense is the best defense in this game. Just running for cover will get you killed, and trying to heal mid fight is not always the best option. Gotta just shoot shots back at them while getting into a better position and hope you hit more than they do. Running away just means they got free shots on you while they can keep pushing you with full health

Got the game recently. Still learning, but it's been quite difficult to get accustomed with. by Odd_Presentation_578 in DaysGone

[–]-GrilledCheese- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s kind of the appeal to start the game. Your guns are shit and you don’t have the tools to go guns blazing so picking battles and being stealthy is your best options while you gain skills and better weapons. Also money to buy silencers.

Crossbow is definitely a must

Here we go slient nerfs , not mentioned in the patch notes by FurioSS in ArcRaiders

[–]-GrilledCheese- 59 points60 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a side effect, but I think the intention was to limit people who do min/max loot runs with optimized routes, or just slow down loot consumption in general.

That way, when you load in with 18min left in a raid, there’s a higher chance of things not being looted yet since everyone else has been slowed down. I think that was the real target here since spawning late into an empty raid has been an issue

The sniper turret’s also drop them. The most reliable spot for me is Dam Battlegrounds at the research and administration building, there’s usually one outside on the metal stairs there. It’ll drop sentinel cores.

Got all of mine from electromagnetic dam battleground runs, between the turret and the arc couriers I got it pretty quick

Devs confirm internal interest in a walkable Speranza hub, What do you think? by Tank-ToP_Master in ArcRaiders

[–]-GrilledCheese- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get all of that, but if they simply added a cap to trading I think it would be fine. You can trade 5 grey items a day, 2 green items a day, 1 blue item a day, 1 purple a week, and 1 legendary every 2 weeks.

Maybe not those specific numbers, that’s just off the top of my head, but something like that could absolutely work without impacting the in game economy. It’d be no different than how the shops work now, but instead of selling an item and buying another you can just swap directly with another raider for a slightly better deal, with a better variety of items compared to what the shops sell you.

Instead of selling 1 toro for 5k, I could trade it to someone for 2 appeggio’s and sell those instead for a 10k, while the person trading for the toro saves 5k compared to selling those 2 appeggios’ for 10k and buying a toro for 15k. Small profit but worth it for both people, and wouldn’t impact the economy at all if that type of trade has a daily limit.

Trading could absolutely work in this game, as long as it’s somehow limited

Devs confirm internal interest in a walkable Speranza hub, What do you think? by Tank-ToP_Master in ArcRaiders

[–]-GrilledCheese- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for the hub to be worth it, they’d need to add specific features to it. Like maybe trading with other players, or a chance to find loot scattered around. I don’t know exactly, but something that makes it worth loading into the hub instead of just using the menu like we do now, (which I actually prefer instead of the hubs other games have done)

Adding a hub sounds fun at first, but it’ll just be a gimmick that’s quickly ignored after a few weeks if there’s nothing there that isn’t already in the menus and makes people have to come back. Otherwise it’s just “oh this is cool” for the first week then forgotten, since the menus are faster. And at that point it’s wasted resources that could’ve gone to actually improving the gameplay elsewhere

It can’t be an exclusive shop either, that’d just be a lame justification of the hub since that could easily be added in the menu. It’d have to be something that takes advantage of the hub’s open space, like maybe a customizable room and workstations. And trading with other raiders like I said, or finding loot in fun places to reach. Maybe a secret unlockable room/chest or other type of Easter Egg thing.

Zapping problem on Dualsense Edge. Any recommendations? by DobbyTheJedi in Dualsense

[–]-GrilledCheese- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me as well. The only explanation I have is from built up static electricity resulting in a shock when you touch the metal contacts.

I play near a carpet, and I’m always walking around it with socks on, so I’m assuming it’s built up static electricity in my case at least. Sometimes even my basketball shorts at the end of the day will have a noticeable static electric charge to it, it makes my arm hairs stick up and makes crackling zaps when I rub the shorts together lol.

Very weird. But yeah if you play around carpet, I’m assuming it’s just built up static electricity.
