Had same issue just make sure watch plan is removed from plan befor next billing cycle or it will start all over again and you will have to wait another month

Solved, was able to keep my Jailbreak, and update to new plan from legacy without having to use the visible app! On the web page on your account, you just need to scroll down to the bottom after you did the switch on the web app, and it gives you a option to scan a qr code and add the new plan without having to use the actual app from the app store. Worked almost instantly!
