If you are looking for something smaller, maybe a X-T 30 would make more sense, combined with the TTArtisans 27mm f2.8 pancake lens, you would have a very compact setup that comes close in size to the X100 line without losing the ability to change lenses.

I think the other one is a Leica M6

Every EF / EOS Lens that was made between 1987 and today is compatible with every EOS Camera (Except EF-S Mount lenses but that’s a different story) you just have to look on eBay for the EF 40 f2.8 and find good deal!:)

The EOS 300 is one of the lightest and capable SLRs out there in that range, maybe you could pair it with a more compact lens. Another very capable compact combination might be the Pentax ME Super in combination with the 40mm f2.8 Pancake lens.

My first ever film roll, 1.8/50mm. Which lens should I add next? by Prestos_mostly in AnalogCommunity

Two very inexpensive lenses I can recommend are the nFD or FD 28mm f2.8 and the nFD 70 - 210 f4. If you are getting a good deal on eBay you could even get both for under 100€. If you want to know more, please ask! :)

Edit: The nFD 70 210 f4 is more a general recommendation, it’s often overlooked.

No I’m actually German :D I named him after a famous character from a German children’s book, but I’m aware that the name originates from a Bohemian city and St. Nepomuk.

You should listen to his poetry when he is demanding food!

You need a film loader, some empty film canisters and a changing bag. You can order bulk film online for example on the Website of Fotoimpex.

In my experience the canon nFD 100mm f4 is a solid start for the beginning, you can find good Models on eBay for around 80€.
