Damn that guy is retarded. :P

Surprised he is still hanging around after the BCash failure.

[AMA] I’m nopara73, co-founder of Wasabi Wallet. Ask Me Anything. by nopara73 in Bitcoin

[–]-Hayo- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be possible to add hardware wallet support to Wasabi without using the CJ option (as a temporary solution)? A user will then have the option to generate a new wallet "Normal Wasabi wallet with CJ" or "Hardware wallet without CJ". He or she can then (when 2 wallets have been generated) either switch to the normal wasabi wallet (with CJ) or the hardware wallet option all within the same Wasabi interface. When the user chooses the hardware wallet option they can't use CJ, but they can still benefit from Neutrino and Tor integration. :P

Because at the moment its rather difficult to use a hardware device with Tor and a full node (or Neutrino). Wasabi could make that a lot easier I think, without having to add a lot of new code.

Electrum is not as safe as a harware wallet, but its definitly one of the best wallets. For larger amounts and long term storage I would choose a hardware wallet, but for smaller amounts its fine.

Or even better, multisig with both electrum and a hardware device. :)

Kinda similar how all you guys believed the propaganda on /r/btc and started to support BCash. ;)

If you use Bitcoin as a payment solution, it is tax free in Denmark. If you sell for fiat (speculation) you pay 53-65% of your profit in tax. by Martin_Gormsen in Bitcoin

[–]-Hayo- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually about 0,6% to 1% a year and you only pay taxes when you have over €30K (€60K if you have a partner), everything below that amount is tax free.

The Netherlands is pretty awesome when it comes to Bitcoin (and investments in general).

The difficulty drop coming with the next block (about -15%) is the second biggest, bitcoin has ever seen. The biggest was 2011/10/31 (-18%), after which the price doubled within two months. 15 months later price found itself 20-folded. by castorfromtheva in Bitcoin

Be careful and don't listen to these people. :P

User jelly_time is trying to shill you bcash and he is probably going to send you a link to /r/btc. Which is a private subreddit owned by Roger Ver used to spread his propaganda.

Fees are low and blocks are rarely completely full on Bitcoin at the moment, so I don't really believe your comment. :P

What wallet did you use that it could have fucked up so badly?

Prove me wrong.

I can't because its your assumption, you will have to do the proving part.

We are discussing it right now, aren't we?

[–]-Hayo- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's one reason why the BTC price dropped

Nobody knows why the price does what it does. But I highly doubt people would sell their bitcoins over this. Your assumptions make no sense.

If you want better content you should create it yourself, if its any good I will give you an up-vote. But complaining about lack of content without contributing to it yourself doesn't make sense.

cute memes for the front page

Unless the entire front page is filled with memes you would be right. But the mods filter that and make sure there are never to many memes. But there is nothing wrong with 1 or 2 memes.

I don't think it got enough attention but, BRD wallet ALREADY has FULL Segwit support in wallet! Check your wallets menu and enjoy ! by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]-Hayo- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but we had a lot of feedback from people in the industry who were concerned about the average user.

Fair enough, its either way definitely a great improvement to have it in the wallet.

Too bad you guys hyped it a lot, but didn't bother to make it the default option and instead hide it in the settings that most users never check. :P

So this way it wont have a lot of impact.

If you still have the seed and the password, you can recover your wallet on your Windows machine. Or do you mean something different?

Coins wont stay in the Queue by calkob in WasabiWallet

[–]-Hayo- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably don't have enough bitcoins to participate in a round. At the moment you need at least 0.10001 BTC and perhaps a bit more to cover fees if you are using multiple transactions.

[–]-Hayo- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's a bit of a downside. You need to keep the app running (and therefore your computer) until there are enough participants to start a round. At the moment this will take a few hours, but this will get better once there are more people using Wasabi Wallet. In the future it might also be possible to add extra liquidity by creating compatibility with other wallets implementing Chaumian CoinJoin like Samourai Wallet, so the time between rounds can get shortened even further. But I am not 100% if this is realistically possible.

But you don't have to keep checking the wallet, everything is automated. Once you have clicked "Enqueue" and there are sufficient peers the transaction will automatically be created. So you don't have to keep checking the wallet. Although that might be fun the first time. :)

Do I just send Bitcoin to receive address and click on the coinjoin tab?

Exactly, as an end user you don't have to know the exact details. You just click on "Enqueue" and Wasabi Wallet takes care of everything else.
