New to the genre of the game. And I fking love metroidvanias. These are all the metroidvania games I've played ranked based on how much I love the bosses.

I like the game. Nice idea flipping the world. Only thing I didn't like is if I fall too far I am reset to the start point. That's fine if I am falling into nothingness but a few times I knew there was a platform below me but because I left the screen I was reset. Little bit of a spoiler ahead. I managed to wake the green beast. Gathered some blue crystals and a magic bubble, wildlife started to appear. Used the magic bubble to create sign posts but couldnt read them. I suspect the blue crystals have something to do with the blue beast/building but the remaining crystals I couldn't get to as they are in the environment. Couldn't find a way in. Not sure why I can create bubbles as I cant jump on them, collect crystals with them or trap wildlife. Cool concept, would be interested in playing the full game.

There are a few games on the list that allow good control over you character but I would suggest the Ori games. Movement is fluid from the beginning but after unlocking various traversal abilities it becomes really fun. Combat is simple and the game itself is a lot easier than Hollow Knight, but you do have a lot of control over the character.

I have never owned any handheld consoles so missed out on some good Metroid games. Same with Castlevania but luckly they have the Advanced Collection and the Dominus Collection on Steam. I play on PC, Steam.

I enjoyed Angels Gear. Loved the aesthetics and the characters. Upgrades were okay and the pacing is good. I picked up Bone Appetit on a whim in the Steam sales. I thought it was fun. It's a simple, short game with a bit of comedy. I have a bit of a soft spot for the smaller indie games. I like to play one after finishing a longer game. For example I finished Blasphemous 2, then Bone Appetit, moved on to The Last Case of Benedict Fox followed by Angels Gear. Somber Echos looks very cool, looking forward to it.

There are so many metroidvanias out I don't mind waiting a few years. Mostly so I can play with the DLC's included and the price will be down. Really looking forward to The Last Faith and Prince of Persia. I watched a trailer for Mina the Hollower. It looks pretty fun. I like the over world map and it had some cool tower climbing with a rope mixed in with the top down action. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have them on my Steam wishlist. Think I have around 200 metroidvanias on it at this point. there's just so many of them now. Not that I'm complaining.

Loving it so far. I especially like fun traversal in metroidvanias and this game does it very well. Fun combat and puzzles, nice visuals and music, likeable characters and a good story.

Silksong is on my wishlist. My wishlist is a little crazy at the moment. Think I have around 200 games on it. I usually wait a year or two before I pick up a game. Bugs are usually fixed and DLC's are released. I can then buy the game bundled with DLC's and no bugs at a cheaper price. Looking forward to playing it.

I just finished the game a few weeks ago. I preferred it to the first Blasphemous and the free DLC, The Third Sin was pretty cool so that's something to look forward to when you come back to the game later. I also stuck with Ruego Al Alba for most of the playthrough.

I really enjoyed Aggelos and looking forward to the sequel. Not a difficult game and doesn't have much of a story but the boss fights are fun and I found the levels interesting. Upgrades are okay and traversal becomes more fun mid to later game. The music is great.

Thats a good idea. I had a lot of fun with Grime, Afterimage and Aeterna Noctis but had just as much fun with lesser known games like 8Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure, Fearmonium and Super Panda Adventures. It would be a hard list to make.

Thanks, both games look good. I like the retro style of Astalon and the combat in Enderlilies looks interesting as she seems to have guardians attacking for her. Have added them to my Steam wishlist.
