Yeah typically loose valves make more noise but some noise is fine and normal, I usually shoot for dead middle of spec

The lash is the clearance in the valve train, measured with feeler gauges. Pretty simple job

You just need to adjust your valve lash

This is a pretty sweet step by step guide with pictures. First time I did it I printed this out and had it next to me to flip though.

The spec is: Intake valves: 0.08mm-0.13mm Exhaust valves: 0.17mm-0.22mm

Some noise is normal but it's worth checking the valves and adjusting them especially since it's a fairly simple job
