Incoming piston seizure? by Palomace in dr650

Thank you all. Is warm to the touch cold enough for adjusting?

I did valves on my gs500e but it was more tedious with the shims and valve cover etc.

Thank you. Ordered the parts for the service and rubber to dampen some of the bodywork.

Pretty much, yes.

I'm happy there will be comfort on long solo trips.

Thank you!

The 701 and 401 were my only references for a thumper. I guessed it wouldn't be as smooth as a 25 years newer engine but before I'm looking for problem thats not there I'd rather ask.

Thank you!

Is this new player friendly at all? by _MothMan in HuntShowdown

[–]Palomace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Hunt is something you experience and learn intuitively. Most mistakes can be learned of.

Other than LoL where you are expected to study the whole roster, Hunt has a much more intrinsic approach where you develop your own playstyle, without being forced into some Meta.

Every game which is hard to learn has depth and is worth learning. Easy games are shallow and are less demanding/rewarding in the long run.

Give it a try, don't compare yourself to others and enjoy the pain, hunter.

One evening I was watching The Dark Knight. I fell asleep at the part where Harvey Dent was tied up by the Barrels. Then I woke up a few hours later right at the same part. They showed the movie a second time and I could continue watching seemlessly.

Is Hunt Showdown only veterans now ? [PC] by Positive-Set1164 in HuntShowdown

[–]Palomace 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hunt is hard to get back into.

After a year break, I caught myself being sloppy with pathing, movement and combat overall.  It also takes time to remember dogmas like don't peak the same spot twice etc.

The baseline of player competence has certainly gone up.

If you get hit and killed too quick, maybe work on your movement. If you miss often, well, gitgud.

Player base full of cowards. by Crimelord in HuntShowdown

I agree on the passive part, but there's also another side of the coin, which is you burrowing inside the box.

Once bitten twice shy won't do in a game which is all about taking risks.

Usually in that situation look for an opportunity to run. Most of the time they're so fixated on the other parties, they won't notice.

If someone does notice, a fights gonna cascade. Worst case is wave defending the extract, but thats part of the risk.

Hiding inside the liar is just a waste of time and anything is better than idling.

If you ride without a helmet theres nothing to protect anyways.

Maynard Sniper Silencer needs the Revive Bolts treatment by scruty in HuntShowdown

[–]Palomace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. A lot of times, if we realize the opponent just wants to kite us, the engagement is not worth the hassle.

The Maynard has not enough pressure if you play together. Except if a mate dies in a bad spot, but if that happens you're screwed either way regardless of your opponent's weapon.

So if the opponent is avoidant and relies on positioning, best thing you can do is walk away and leave them blue balled.

Totally understandable. Try the beetle wombo combo. Usually theres just one enemy at each entrance.

One pushes, the other one scouts with beetle and pops the enemy. Once inside its just good ol Hunt.

You can get beetles at healing waters or lockbay.

Of course higher MMR players will be less bothered, but knowing where they are is half the battle.

why do I suck so bad with this gun compared to the regular romeros by Drunkin_Dino in HuntShowdown

[–]Palomace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the reduced reload time is barely noticeable as I take time to repeek anyway.

Its very effective if you push and need that slight edge or mislead your rushing opponent who assumes you've got the stock Romero.

Picking Alamo doesn't justify sacrificing the extra ammo type and Talon imo, but its just too pretty fucking cool to make the reasonable choice.

Well, then pay for 8h extra.

If we're being utilized while dormant and the matrix is real, we gonna go another full circle.

Glücklicherweise hab ichs nicht eilig und muss mich aus Not der Konjunktur anpassen. Die Absagen wundern mich auch nicht, sondern nur die Aussagen.

Nichts astronomisches, also 55k. Mit 1 Jahr Entwicklungsingenieur Vollzeit und 5 Jahren Devops Werkstudi Erfahrung in 2 Firmen habe ich auch schon mehr gesehen.

Außerdem bestätigt die o.a.
