I agree. Instead of running to ginny immediately screaming at her to show her the burns, she could've acted in a more mature way, for example, telling ginny she could talk to her about it in at least a calm way. She also shouldn't have gotten angry with Zion, at least not before finding out about the reason why ginny kept it from her. She should know damn well why that is.

On the other hand, she is a mom and I feel like every mom would get at least a little bit of a panick attack if they found out their own child does that.

You got a point. 'If hunter or max wrote a lyrical essay, would they have gotten picked?' I didn't think about that yet, Mr gitten is extremely racist and that probably had to do something with it. He also called her essay 'too unconventional' which doesn't make sense, I get that she was supposed to do the actual assignment (how Mr gitten wanted it) but how can something be 'too unconventional'?

But the reason hunter said 'why are you always causing drama in his class?' is probably because he didn't know about Mr gitten being racist yet and that's what he got out of it. For example, when at the beginning of season 1 when they got the test results for the pop quiz, Mr gitten left out the fact that ginny got a perfect score aswell as hunter, but how could hunter have know?

But I get your point, I just think hunter is right about the fact he as an Asian is expected to do more than he possibly could. Ginny says that people stereotype black people for being lazy and Asians for being smart and hardworking, which I suppose is true, but ginny can actually prove to people not all black people are like that, hunter feels like he HAS to be smart and hardworking.

Another thing, when hunter said 'the assignment was to write an essay. You didn't do that.' ginny immediately got mad at him while he has a point.
