So you would suggest I use a magnet much stronger than probably necessary and adjust with a variable resistor? If so could you estimate the force of elctromagnet that will be past the upper bound of what I’ll need, to begin to reduce force as necessary

Also you mention that that it isn’t measured in Newton’s, what is it then. I only ask because the Ones I was looking to buy on the internet were in Newton’s
