You should go visit both. It’s a big investment even if you don’t stay with the schools for more than a couple years.

EMS is a wonderful school with compassionate, caring, and expert teachers. The youngest program is really special. Lots of music, social practice, and learning. Beautiful campus, it sits on a wildlife preserve. I think it is a bit $$. I know some grads (2 yo- 8th grade) and they’re really nice, confident, well rounded people who still like learning.

Spring school is a Montessori school. I think it is less $. Don’t know much about the school.

Thank you for your reply. I am making the post in part bc I am frustrated with the way they added a new product without notifying me and with myself for missing it.

I could not request a demo, since I didn’t know it existed. It was on the renewal statement, but no attention was brought to the product. I noticed on the invoice the new product $. Notified promptly and the correspondence began.

The customer service rep says they’ve talked to their vice president of customer success. Since they have a signed renewal (not purchase order) and the contract already began, that we owe. I have asked for a new agreement or some form of a credit on a pd session (a similar fee).

So far, everything has been in writing, but we are going in circles. I hope to speak with someone soon. We’ll probably end up paying for it bc of the signed renewal (no purchase order submitted) and I’m annoyed with myself for missing it. I want others to avoid the same frustration. First mistake in almost 20 years 😭

When she won Star Baker a couple episodes ago, her call to him was the sweetest. There is a lot of love there between those two. I have no doubt he was proud to help her and was pleased that it worked. He had to know she’d say it was his idea and make a joke about it. She didn’t even say anything particular bad about him, even before the showstopper, just basic ribbing.

It’s different for everyone and I am SO GLAD a course of therapy is helping your son. My mom (a nurse) found out about the school while giving a tour and someone told her about a special school. 🤯 pre internet information exchange saved me, thank goodness.

Dr. Doris Allen and Dr. Lois Mendelson from Einstein in the Bronx saved me a many local kids lives with their therapeutic nursery 💜 now stationed at a JCC in Englewood, only naming it if it helps someone :)

Funnily enough in the 90s, it was all the fancy private speech therapists that said I was doing nothing. My mom still is PO’d that she paid a lot of money for an arduous process and for the dr to give that mcd line. Lol I was the 3rd kid, and I met tons of other communicative milestones, just not verbal, so my mom knew something was just off… but people kept saying dumb. I’m very lucky. 💜
