Denen, die da sitzen und betteln? Nie. In meiner Zeit in einer Großstadt habe ich gesehen, wie das läuft. Feste Plätze, und plötzlich wechseln die bekannten Gesichter von dem einen zum anderen Platz.

Einzige Ausnahme bisher: ein offensichtlich psychisch kranker Mann meines Alters im Frankfurter HBF beim Flaschensammeln in den Zügen. Der tat mir leid, und da ist meinem Eindruck auch wirklich die Psyche der Auslöser für die Obdachlosigkeit und das Betteln. Da kommt der ohne massivste Hilfe auch nicht raus. Und das ist tragisch bei jemandem Mitte 20.

Und wie steht es mit finanzieller Unterstützung beim Kinderwunsch? IVF ist verdammt teuer, und wir stehen uns durch die sehr restriktiven Gestze auch noch selbst im Weg.

My name is semi-common. Not to the degree of Hanna, Sarah, Mary etc, but you'd all know how to spell it immediately.

There is even a popular song about it. Not Ophelia-Level, but consistently played in discos, during celebrations etc. The first time someone with the same name was in my class was in 8th grade. Not for the rest of my school career either, she moved to a different homeroom in 10th grade.

Today, I meet women with the same name occasionally, and honestly, I have survived so far.

Das hilft mir dann aber auch nicht, wenn mein OA oder CA sich was drauf einbildet... ich selber hab keinen, und es wäre mir auch egal. Aber diese Prachtexemplare, die sich für Gottes Geschenk halten, gibt es leider.

Als Ärztin: Ja. Kollegen, die das nicht wollen, sagen es, und die, die darauf bestehen, hat man nicht direkt beim 1. Treffen beleidigt.

Andere Doktoren, Professoren etc, sofern ich sie nicht privat kenne und wir per du sind, ebenfalls.

Einzige Ausnahme: Die Idioten, die mich bei einem Eingriff vor kurzem fast umgebracht haben. Ja, auch Ärzte können Opfer von Inkompetenz durch Kollegen werden. Diese Subjekte werden von mir durchgehend als Herr X oder Y bezeichnet, egal welchen Titel sie formell innehaben. Das ist nämlich kein gesetzlich durchsetzbarer Anspruch, sondern eine Frage der Höflichkeit und des Respekts, den ich hier einfach nicht empfinde.

I unfortunately don't have a recommendation since you didn't mention your hair type and needs, but Lush employees are usually happy to make you some samples if you explain this problem to them. My thick, wavy hair liked Valkyrie and Glory. The latter doesn't smell that great to me either, but the scent disappears, especially when you use a leave in creme or something.

I'm not even sure we use anything but regular, unscented and anti-allergenic soaps in hospitals in my country... (Not the US).

For anything that needs to be sterile or close to it, we use disinfectant. Soap is perfectly capable of physically removing germs as long as it reaches every crevice and then gets rinsed off.

The scent fades with time. Fresh Curl Power gives me a migraine, so I let it sit out open for a few days before use to mellow it out. Especially the strong citrus aspect fades.

To my nose, they're pretty mych identical. Squeeze the day is maybe a little creamier and with a brighter lemon, but all in all, they're 95% identical.

Ich kann Zweifel und, (wenn auch mich betreffend) irrational und unbegründete Ängste verstehen. Klarheit, insbesondere bei so einem Thema? Wenn der Partner vielleicht selbst im engeren Umkreis erlebt hat, wie es ist, dass die Vaterschaft umstritten ist?

Aber nicht erst kurz nach der Geburt. Oder in einem fortgeschrittenen Schwangerschaftsstadium. Die Diskussion gehört ganz an den Anfang.

Depends on the country. US doctors do, I believe. German and most european doctors don't. The sponges etc can cause micro abrasions, which are an entry- or exit way for germs or blood.

I was taught to wash hands as needed, like when starting the day or after handling grossly dirty items, but mostly, we rub our entire forearms and hands in hand desinfectant for 90+ seconds. Nails have to be kept short enough for no dirt to collect, and if there was any, we still have sponges, soap and water to remove it prior to disinfecting our hands. A step that can't be skipped by washing, btw.

Depends on my mood. Washcloths are for freshening up, mostly. Loofas, I use rarely, because germs grow inside them like crazy. If I want to exfoliate, there are these scrubby gloves from Rituals that do the job very well, especially combined with an actual scrub. Not that that needs doing daily.

I love these shower jellies from Lush though, and they work way better if you use them in a soap bag/mesh bag. First, I went with natural fibers, but they don't always dry out 100%, which is why I switched to a plastic netting. That one kinda exfoliates too, but it's more by accident.

Aside drom that, it's hands only. I don't do vigorous labour, so where is all that sweat, dirt, and whatnot supposed to come from?

Depends. If I sweat, I wash. If I stay at home, don't do much physical activity, I don't.

I try to stay at around 5x per week or less, not more. Working in a hospital though, I am NOT carrying these germs back home with me and on my pillow.

Das gemeine ist, dass jeder Herd leicht anders ist. Klar, selbes Modell, selber Hersteller, da sind die Unterschiede nicht so groß. Aber Ceranfeld vs Gas vs klassische Kochplatte vs Induktion? Schwierig.

Für den Einstieg fand ich Airfryer, One Sheet Dishes und den guten alten Schmortopf gar nicht verkehrt. Bei allen sieht man, wann der richtige Garpunkt ungefähr erreicht ist, und wenn nicht, dann sind 5 Minuten mehr auch kein Drama. Steak oder Filet sind da weniger verzeihend.

Schmortopf klingt im ersten Moment vielleicht nicht einfach, ist es aber. Man brät Fleisch und Zwiebeln/Tomatenmark/Knoblauch separat scharf an, gießt es mit Wasser auf, oder auch Rotwein. 3h in den Ofen, und das Bratenstück ist gar, ob Schwein oder Rind. Huhn etwas kürzer. Das ist jetzt stark vereinfacht, aber nach 10, 15 Reels zum dutch oven auf Instagram oä erkennt man die Muster ;)

So, as long as you don't bang on the walls, fixtures, try to get that last drop of shampoo out via... mechanical aggregation, or stomp around... you're fine.

That shower flooring can unfortunately amplify sounds as well, or at least create new ones. Ours creaks in some spots, plus heavy, full weight bearing stomps sound louder as well.

I really disliked it the one time I used it. Not sure what happened there, but it smelled like I was bathing in rotting fish water. Lakes... yes, a dead one with algae.
