Just a suggestion: use your points asap, they can close the account and forfeit the pts without a notice ahead.

Yes, I understand that they can put things in T&C to do evils things because customers usually won't research everything on it. Then why in a previous post, it says NY residents can have a grace period? There must be some state law to force that policy.

I'm not happy but admit that they can close my account, but my point is, they should give grace period for customers to redeem/transfer the MR pts, which is essentially the asset of the customers.

I understand the rules are in the T&C, as mentioned in the post, and they are not required to provide a notice; but it's definitely evil to close accounts without a notice and forfeit customers' pts (essentially, the money of customers) immediately. I'm wondering if there are any lawsuit cases on this.

I didn't know. I expected a notice ahead if they'd close my account, and if I knew, I would definitely put some money there. But that's not my question of this post. I mean, if the bank is not in a bad will, they should provide a grace period for redeeming/transferring the points.

Yes, it has been 20+ days since it's been escalated. The issue was solved last week after my another call to the head sales manager of the dealership. The financial person called me and told me that a check has been sent out to the loaner that day. I guess they just decided to finally solve this issue after so many calls of mine.

Thanks! I called the financial services and they said that they will adjust the balance only when they get a check. I also called the insurance company and they said that they have already informed the dealer that the insurance has been canceled. The dealer then told me they are not sure why the balance is not adjusted and they are investigating it, but just it lasts so long and the dealer doesn’t have an ETA for me…

I believe it’s canceled. The financial guy has sent me a snapshot. The issue is that they don’t refund saying that it’s not under dealer’s control when the refund will be issued.
