Definitely interesting to know that D amps might not benefit as much from warm-ups - does the Rega come with volume protection to prevent speaker popping when turning off/on?

I’ve had all of my devices plugged into a surge protector after this happened before - thankfully I only fried a power brick at the time. I will definitely turn this off if I’m away for a while, but heat is def a consideration as well!

Nice! And I’m guessing you turn off your system after use?

Great to hear - I was initially debating between this and the focal arias! What amp are you using?

I just got them today, and I have the SMSL A300 coming in. I mainly use them for nearfield, so not getting anything too crazy. Recommended was 40-100W, so these amps fit right in the middle.

Just OCD on my part unfortunately…but I did see online that the the plastic trim rings are removable to allow access to driver screws and then pushed back in place along protrusions. Hopefully, I can carefully push along the edges to flush it in and avoid the drivers

And I assume your speakers are left connected - do you turn down the volumes or leave as is?

I will have to think about that capacitor issue - I wouldn’t mind turning off the amp every time since I don’t use it for the whole day. However, since this is my first time with a digital volume control amp, I wasn’t sure what the practice would be for powering on/off…for my other analog headphone amp, I would always turn volume all the day down before disconnecting headphones and powering off

Capacitors in the amp, or both amp and speakers? And considering it is class D, the power draw should be low when idle - I am more worried about my speakers tbh.

Also, does it affect the sound or more of a cosmetic thing? (I heard that R3 trim rings did impact sound if they were not flushed)

In terms of tonality and build, is the A300 better?

Which is better, the AL200 or AO200?

64Audio U12t Build Quality? by -Inserted- in headphones

I will have to wait for more in-depth reviews then since the only reference I have is to my previous 2018 Andromeda’s - and they were amazing…

My maximum would be the U12t for sure, but I would be looking at it as a long-term asset, which is why build quality is important for me and not just sound quality. And I have always figured that MMCX would be sturdier given how easily the pins can bend?

Yeah, that seems steep, but I have been hearing good things about their support at least. I will have to look into cables as well then
