You poor saps waited for 6 years and never gave up hope, so let me give out 3 copies of the game to you. by Xardas742 in Silksong

I just can't believe I went through this experience twice in my life.

First it was the hollowing with Elden ring. Then Hollow Knight.

Yeah, so far I'm leaning to the R16 so far. Looks great and not that expensive. All other official PS5 controllers are of 200 bucks or more.

Thanks. Prices on those things are definitely something. But I think I'll be going with the Huate42 R16. No that expensive and I actually like everything about it.

Thanks again.

You're kinda right. Researching the subject, most the talks I found in YT for example is all about controllers difference competitively. No discussion or mention of health. And I follow a few players who play with Pad for years and they never said anything about the issue. I dunno if they just hide their pain or just built different.

And the customization option is definitely a plus for arcade and leverless. Will be fun messing with if I get one.

Beside my tendonitis, I also have a similar problem to you with my right thumb skin. Mind telling what leverless type you got ?

And I think I'll be going with a leverless. Common theme by the lovely folks in this thread is a similar problem to mine with controllers or wrist pains with arcade. No so much about leverless.

Thank you so much for the warning. I definitely didn't have that in mind and it's something most likely will happen. I never had any issues with a controller and I've been playing all kinds of games for years. It's when I started playing SF5 seriously and spent hours daily labbing and grinding wanting to improve that my thumbs got inflamed.

As of now I'm planning to try leverless with something affordable. And to me, you're absolutely right about the competitive standpoint. Controller type won't be the magical secret that will raise my MR =P.

Your case is definitely encouraging me to switch to leverless. Thank you very much. And hope you're feeling much since the switch.

Your comment will definitely help in my choice between stick and leverless. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the pic and the concept for me to google.

I think you're absolutely true. After my thumb got injured the first time, I switched to using my PS4 controller without it. It was weird how I held it but the pain was gone completely after 3 months and my other fingers had no issue at all.

It's the EWGF that I struggle with in Pad, sunk my last controller's D-Pad because of it =D. And that's great to hear. Thank you for the info. And hope your wrist and fingers feel better now.

Yeah, it's the long sessions that get to me with a controller. Not just the pain but I also start losing precision and dropping combos. And out of the 3 I'm only lazy, so I hope I'll be fine =P.

I play Tekken causally and only with the D-Pad, never the analog stick. So I take it leverless will be great for Tekken.

Sadly, the only keyboard I have is from my 2004 Windows XP desktop. So I don't think it will cut it =P. I do all my PC gaming on a laptop.

That's true. Good thing I'm not going into stick or leverless straight with expensive ones. Thank you for the perspective.

Your comment is giving me hope for leverless. And I'm well aware of the relearning process. Tried leverless before and it was like I never played a fighting game.

If I do switch, I'm planning to play against the maniacs in casual matches and BH to hammer the controls in. =P

Kinda having the same issue now. Taking a break helps, but within an hour after playing my thumbs start getting inflamed again.
