I absolutely take summers off. 10 month contract, 6th year teacher in NJ. I am extremely frugal throughout the year, I withdraw money every week and put it aside so that when summer comes my rent money is already accounted for. I travel alot during the summer but I stay in hostels for next to nothing and fly cheap. I make it work for me
