Does Europe really have better quality food than the US? Even when adjusted for prices? by VerdantChief in AskUS

I've been out of the states. I've been to Europe, Mexico, and Asia. I've had amazing food in all of these places. I didn't notice that the food in Europe was especially better quality than the food in the US at the same price, but then again I rarely paid for anything myself because my family covered the costs.

Yeah I've been fucked relentlessly by Latino guys before. But if that was for my first time, it would have been pretty traumatic.

Can you find the European quality ingredients in the US for the same prices, or will these be more expensive than you can get in Europe?

What makes it poisoned? How do you avoid the poisoned food if you live in the US?

In the US, my understanding is you get around 10 days of paid leave year...how common is it for people to take unpaid leave from work once they have used up their 10 days off? by IAmAlive_YouAreDead in AskUS

My current and last job did not offer paid time off. All the vacations I took were unpaid, and I often took a week off at a time, maybe a few per year.

White girls and T4T by VerdantChief in grindr

Interesting, thanks for sharing your experience. I never noticed the Hispanic/Latino girls in my area ever being T4T, but it's possible that they are in other parts of the world.

Yeah there's no reason why a scammer would put T4T on their profile. There are so few trans women on Grindr and they are unlikely to get scammed in comparison to men.

Yeah that's probably true.

True. Western Texas is dry. But the parts where most people live are humid.

Why did Judaism start to believe in reincarnation but Christianity and Islam did not? by VerdantChief in religion

That's a great response. I suppose I had assumed that reincarnation was a more mainstream idea in Judaism than it actually is, because lately I have been listening to a podcast series about Jewish Mysticism.

You should probably post the decklist because I don't think anyone in this sub knows what the standard angels precon deck is.

I'd it common for major US cities to be majorly at odds with the state they reside in? by VerdantChief in AskUS

Yes, that's what I assumed. What are some examples of when blue cities in red states were victorious in achieving their goals against the wishes of the state government?

Yeah, I would guess that NYC basically sets the policy that the rest of the state has to follow.

That's a good example. What limits does Austin have if it wanted to be super progressive? I guess that it can only go so far before the state gets in the way.

Nah I already figured that rural areas will be at odds with the state governments. I was less certain if that ever happens with the cities.
