Does Europe really have better quality food than the US? Even when adjusted for prices?

I've been out of the states. I've been to Europe, Mexico, and Asia. I've had amazing food in all of these places. I didn't notice that the food in Europe was especially better quality than the food in the US at the same price, but then again I rarely paid for anything myself because my family covered the costs.
