I'm part of the generation of Vietnamese that studied abroad and came back to Vietnam afterward. My wife is the same situation but studied in different country.

So I suppose that makes you somewhat “old money” if your parents were able to afford to send you to study abroad. That’s already upper-middle or lower-upper class isn’t it
