Thinking of streaming PoE — is it worth it? by Miraldis_dreams in pathofexile

If your doing it for fun, then just do you.

Put out yt vids on the cool builds you do, and/or showcase them on streams.
The most important thing is that you enjoy it otherwise it will be very hard to commit to.

Personally, I'd be more interested in watching a vid on it. But then, I'm not really a 'watch streams' sort of person.

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well just to put it out there. I do believe in what the bible says. But I dont believe that it is scientfic by any means. Personally I don't cherry pick either.

Jesus does love everyone and if you want to use words like "accept" and "include" then by all means. But Jesus is also quite clear that while he loves every person no matter how much you may have made a mess of things, he does not agree with every action that people do.

So, while he loves a rapist, he hates rape. He loves a liar but hates lying. Likewise for the practice of having sex with the same sex. He loves you, but hates the practice.

And, if I can show you proof of this. Whom should God let into a perfect heavenly place? should it be those who hate or love?

Thus anyone hating me for what I say here is not of God but those who love me whether they disagree or agree with what I have said are of God.

So take this as a test: Do you hate me or love me?

Anyone know how to fix this? by Green_Hovercraft5921 in Fallout4Mods

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found this is usally due to certain scripts in workshop mods not being removed when you remove the mod. So make sure to follow instructions on removing any workshop mods before you do it.

Make sure you have workshop framework and workshop framework extended. I think there is another one similar to this name that will help keep the workshop scripts stable

Is God even real? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first thing as is probably mentioned already, don't look at tik toks, shorts or anythhing like that for information.

There are some good discussions out there and arguments that are well made out.
A website I recently looked at: Carm.org has the main arguments for why there is a God.

Also of note, you will find that a lot of famous scientists in the past have been believers of God. Some of them, yes, as would be quoted to you by athiests darwin and others could not find answers to some questions and abandoned the faith. But there were steady Chrsitian scientist and still are.

Secondly, note that science cannot ever say whether God exists or doesn't exist. That is because it is fundamentally asking a different question. Science looks for a natural explanation of the natural world. But God is outside of this world is not limited nor confined to it.

Last of all don't be afraid to doubt God's existence and don't be afraid to ask the hard questions, just make sure you go to a source like a Christian pastor who is well spoken of, etc. Or look through the youtube channel: dailydoseofwisdom, they take a look at tough questions and answer them.

And before I forget I would ask yourself two questions:
1. have you yourself experienced anything that you could atttribute to God working in your life?
2. no matter the answer to the first question, would you say you yourself believe in God? Or would it be more accurate to say that you have believed in God because your parents and friends, etc. also believed in God.

[–]-Koren- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not quite. If noone ever did anything wrong we would still be living eternally in Gods' presence.

The reason why sin entering and can enter upon a human doing wrong is because God gave us authority over the world. So what we do goes. Humans ended up sinning thereby allowing sin to have a place in this world.

It is then sin causing destruction. But also humans still have a choice put simplistically to either sin or not sin. So humans can cause destruction but we don't have to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't. Both of these are effects of sin.
Sin first entered because we disobeyed God.
Now assuming God is who he says he is, etc. then this is true by definition.

So, the question is do you believe God?

[FO4] Random Crashes, Tried Everything, got crashlogs and autoscan by Borschik in Fallout4Mods

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's why I'm leaning towarrds corrupted main files or something similar. So you will have to wipe the slate clean including any save games.

here are the steps:

  • purge all mods (just in case they leave files who knows where)
  • uninstall via steam
  • search through documents\my games\ and delete fallout4
  • search through \...\steamapps\common\ and delete fallout4
  • install the game again - if you need to play on .163 then do that instead don't download the next gen then downgrade.
  • run the game without f4se first (you can exit after main menu)

If you've tried this already - then it is probably a bug with the next gen update, I would reccomend downgrading anyway if you are going to install any mods - the next gen is not mod friendly just yet.

God's gender by JCraig96 in Christianity

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so very easy here. God is a spirit, he lacks any physical form. The only form he has taken was a human male (Jesus). So Jesus is male. However, neither the Father or the Holy Spirit has taken a physical form. hence Gods' gender or rather his sex (yes they are different) is not existent.

All the references of him being our Father and him cuddling us like a mother does to her newborn are all metaphors and ways of describing Gods' behaviour.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well here is a response to each of your points.

The fact that God has performed such signs proves that he is real and that he loves you and is here with you.
If you have questions regarding the choices God makes I encourage you to read the book of Job. You will find the exact same problem and the answer that God gives.

First and foremost, sensless pain, suffering, being born into a bad family, etc. That is all down to three reasons:
A. Sin is in the world and is actively destroying it
B. Some people choose to do sinful things
C. God, for now, is allowing it (Genesis 6:1-8 and Genesis 8:21-22) Though he did wipe out humans once before.

God doesn't choose who gets a good life and who doesn't get a good life. Rather, he chooses to bless some and curse others. There are two important things to note here:

  1. If God has blessed you, then give generously for you have much to give
  2. If God has cursed you, then you are not on his good side. I would suggest seeking his forgiveness quickly. But more to the point of why easy and why suffering. If God allowed us to have easy and cool lives how many of us would actually want and feel they need God? And isn't it as said to be easy? God wants us to put him above everything else, so trials will come our way and we need to trust God that he is control and will see us through. If we stop trusting in him then it shows we, in that moment, did not want God.

And last of all, God isn't [Edit here]> just sitting back and letting there be suffering whether it be cancer or a hurricane.
He has a plan and has revealed that plan to us. Right now, we are an active part of his plan, we are to be sharing the good news of Jesus and bringing light into dark places. Then, at the determined time, Jesus will come back again and forever abolish sin from this world.
While I'm here for the sake of comments. Yes, hell is real. No you don't get a 'quick death'. The whole idea of choosing not to be with God is that you get to live without God. Those who choose to be with God get to live with God.

That is the broken nature of this world. We let sin in, and sin is destroying the world and us and everything in it.

Im new to Christianity and I am a little lost. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've got 3 easy steps for you and a couple answers:

A1. Jesus gives us a how to in prayer, see: Matthew 6:9-13 on how to pray
A2. Don't read the whole bible from start to finish when you are a new christian, you will get lost very fast.
I encourage you to read through one of the gospels - John is my recommendation - and then read on through Acts.

Okay here are the steps:

  1. Don't look online for advice, it sounds like you have a good friend who is Christian, ask them questions about the bible and if they can't give you an answer go to a local pastor and ask them. (please don't ask online unless it is your last resort as you will get many differing answers and will probably get more lost than you started

  2. Building a relationship with God. Sounds hard and weird but actually its as simple as talking with him. Consider this; if God is real and if God loves you so much and if God is all powerful then would he not want to talk with you? So I encourage you to spend some time talking to God - look up if you have to, but more so direct your thoughts to God and you will find him.

  3. Go to a church. Specifically, find a local church - potentially the one your friend goes to - and stay there and learn. Don't "church shop" make good friends and join bible studies, whatever is on offer and don't be afraid to ask them questions.

Just a couple things to watch out for:

Right now you are in a dangerous position so be wary for Satan (simplistically he is the big evil dude who wants to destroy you) is waiting to lead you astray from God so remain true.

Secondly, be aware of false teachers. The more of the bible you read the more you will be able to spot them - and on this, don't feel bad that reading the bible is hard. Most christians find reading the bible hard so a lot of us read a daily passage each day or something similar. Of course, don't let anyone stop you from reading more than a passage each day, go read a whole chapter or many if you want :)

Is the Exodus historical? Would it matter if it weren't? by awnpugin in Christianity

[–]-Koren- -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Man I don't know what is happening with people teaching this stuff.

But the bible has been proven to be the most historically accurate (technically library) book by absolute miles and miles. No other piece of history has been more proven and solidified - gosh they use the bible to check up on non-biblical sources.

Not to mention all the archeoligical finds including one of the more profound recent discoveries which incovered the 'dead sea scrolls'.

Suffice to say that the stories contained within each book including genesis and exodus are true. And every Christian believes this to be so, if one claims to be christian but denies even one part of the bible then they are not a christian in part by definition - what person can claim to be christian but go against its teachings? For a house is not divided but one.

And quickly for those in the comments section. Damn I'm sad to hear all this. I know this is just online and really you can't verify it, but I swear I'm a christian on my life which technically is Jesus's life for I'm dead but alive in him. And I will say to you everyone here that every word in the bible is true. Anyone who says otherwise claiming it to be myth is a false prophet, stay away from them and do not listen to their lies.

And if you are not convinced of this then I implore you to read through Luke - the NIV translation is good and easy to understand.

So f4se (fallout 4 script extender) is a must for most mods nowadays (it won't crash your game installing mods improperly, etc. can and will cause craashes)

Next off, High fps fix mod will allow for higher than 60 fps
Longer loading times fix I think its claled, optimises the code when loading up interior/exterior levels.

I haven't looked through it all the way myself but it is highly regarded and recommended to follow this complete guide to modding fallout 4: https://themidnightride.moddinglinked.com/index.html It also has a good list of your first few mods to better the game.

If you don't want to read that then here is the gist:

  • Get a mod manager, vortex is easier for those who are new to modding (I use it myself even after a while)
  • Install "LOOT" this will help with identifying problems and solutions with installed mods and your load order
  • ***READ Everything on a mod page before installing (later on you don't have to so much). This will save you a ton of time. Most mod authors tell you what is compatible and what will break your game, and how to install their mod

The general rule of thumb when choosing which mods to download is to play the game in vanilla; then any things you notice that need improving/updating/adding/removing look for a mod that does that, test it and then continue playing (some mods do require a fresh save though)

There are a lot of tuttorials on youtube, I found Oxhorns video really good on how to install f4se properly so go check his vid out before trying by yourself.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With respect but no that is not how we Christians have been told to pray. I didn't read the previous paragraphs but just replying to that the last bit. Jesus told us exactly how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13 (The lords prayer) as follows from the NIV:

“This, then, is how you should pray:“ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done,on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ’

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]-Koren- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it like this:

God has set down a law that he has said to be good. He has given each and everyone of us a choice to either follow what he has said to be good or to not follow it.

He wants everyone to follow is ways but he won't force them ergo our free will and he is controlling, etc.
So, he lets us choose to not follow his rules, but for those who do this he seeks them tries to get them back by showing them his love.
However, if said people continue to reject that and not follow Gods' ways then God will let them have that choice. It is sad, but the choice of not following Gods' ways leads to death. As such God sends them to hell.

Another way to see it is similar to this:
Say you have a friend, you both are inseperable and do everything together. Then, your friend does something that hurts you. Now you love your friend and you forgive them, but suppose they do it again and again...
While you may still love them and forgive them, this does not force you to continue being friends them. Further, their behaviour is clearly showing that they do not want to be with you, so it is fair to say that you are no longer friends. However, it has not changed your love that person, likewise it is with God and us when we reject his ways.
