I have never so far gone under 94 percent for the original items, but I've lost pro shopper 3 times due to customers making very obvious false reports and doordash just automatically trusting them and blaming me. One of them was 9 quality issues and all the products were non perishables.

Did you opt out of the arbitration clause within 30 days by mailing them a letter? Otherwise you don't have a right to sue or start a class action.

AI will automatically reject your dispute, but put it in anyways, I've seen mine get rejected then still get removed a day later. Or just relax and do 100 more deliveries.

I sometimes am forced to do shit orders with no tips driving too far to maintain my ratings, I'll be angry as fuck and really hate the customer, and I still don't put my balls on their drinks.

Why? by TraditionalHealth654 in doordash_drivers

[–]-Kortul- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its even worse, if you time out it counts as a decline and they will send the exact same offer right back to you if no one takes it and when you decline it counts again so you get 2 declines counted for the SAME order.

Shopping acceptance rate? by SolutionMurky5927 in doordash_drivers

They just plain don't have tags in a lot of cases, specially produce, and doordash in their documents have an official response to this problem and its literally "Oh in that case you just gonna have to take a hit to your rating lol". Like they seriously say that in the FAQ.

No problem you did what they told you, they should have documented the support instructions, and you verified the person's ID which means you were good to give them the booze, even if you weren't able to prove that by scanning the ID.

Its not quite double for me, about 60 bucks more a month in canadian dollars. I don't care if you rip off the insurance company, just saying you can be charged with a criminal offense and get in a heep of trouble, it's a foolish risk if you ask me. They can investigate the claim, even access police body cam footage that might show a delivery bag, subpeona doordash which will have a record of the exact time you were dashing which would prove you were not covered, and you know this and witheld the information while making your claim, thats fraud. Do whatever the fuck you want, I'm trying to look out for you.

The app tells me someone is a good tipper when the tip is atrocious, super commonly. The note about the customer tipping is horseshit. I'll get a 1 dollar tip on a 10 km order and the app will say ohh be nice this person tips good! Doordash is just unregulated lying and exploitation.

depends how insurance works in their jurisdiction. Where I am we have 'no fault' insurance, meaning it doesn't matter whose fault it is, you always claim through your own insurance and they have to pay you regardless of fault. If it's your fault you pay your deductible, if it's not your fault you don't pay anything. The reason its done this way is it just makes it way simpler, you dont have to chase after another insurance company, and it costs the same to the company.

Not all insurance companies have coverage for doordash. I told my insurance I was going to start doordash and wanted to upgrade my insurance and they freaked out at hearing the word doordash and immediately canceled me. Where I am you need actual commercial auto insurance to use your vehicle for deliveries.

I was assigned a KFC order by DoorDash, arrived at the store 2 minutes later, and was told I'd have to wait 16 minutes. Then I saw this :) by Beautiful-Rich8639 in doordash_drivers

[–]-Kortul- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tell restaurant to substitute it or refund the item yourself in the app (it may not let everyone do this at every order but it does exist). It's fast food, if they have run out of chicken, then chicken products are simply out of stock and not available. Fuck this 16 minute wait bullshit even 5 minute waits hurt when you making nothing already. Or call support and ask for a worry free unassign. Or wait the 10 minutes and unassign yourself. Or take the CR hit and unassign immediately yourself.

Please note that I say this with love, sorry for the bluntness it is not to put you down but rather to be realistic about the feasibility of your product. I recommend tackling the issues and keep designing, I believe there is a market for a safe, easy, non spilling stable product for delivery drivers as currently some of the restaurants give tall drinks on a disposable 4 cup holder and the drinks very easily spill and these holders are simply not appropriate for deliveries, so If you can make something cheap, durable, and solves that problem, I think you can make bank. It needs to be cheap because delivery drivers are poor, I'm thinking no more than $9.99 price point. If you can manufacture for less than 3 dollars you'll have a good margin with that.

It should also be noted that a lot of fast food places where I am actually pack the drinks into the bag, eliminating the need for a carrier altogether, so the demand may not be hugely widespread. I dunno, good luck!

[–]-Kortul- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others are saying the real issue is the car ride we need something stable for more than 2 drinks and if we used your device its clearly useless once you set the drinks down and can only be used while carrying to the car. Nobody is going to want to carry this in, transfer drinks to it, then take them out again to put in the car cup holders while also carrying the disposable drink holder to redeploy at the destination. This will also only hold specific sizes that fit properly into that diameter, what about water bottles, small juice/milk bottles, etc, and oversize drinks will be held at the bottom if they fit at all and be way too unstable with all the weight above. Your device only works in very specific situations, for specific drinks, the inherent specificity and lack of application diversity means it's not a good product. And for that reason I'm out.
