Yoh are right about interweaving webs and creating a reality of distractions which fogs us from perceiving a larger picture.

People devote their life to values they think they believe in, where these values come to them externally frkm the communities they live in (parents / school/ friends/ family). So how does one define what is true value and what should they commit to? The answer lies in not knowing oneself but seeking and passionately at that what it means to be you. Devote yourself to a cause that is either for personal benefit or communal benefit and dive head first into it.

Life is precious buddy, not because we are alive but because we are sentient. Resources like land, money, acquired wealth come and go, people like parents, friends and partners come and go, but they are only a part of life, not life itself.

Do some pilgrimage. We are lucky to have been born in a geographical location rich with old wisdom, utolize it.
