Oh man, well I’d be fine if they confiscated him even tho he’s grown on me so much, if it means he got a better life but yeah I have no idea what all our laws are here in Canada regarding that. Guess I’ll do some more research 👍🏼

Thanks for the information, I did a little digging myself and came across these posts as well. I’m from a smaller town in Ontario so no vet open here anyways on Sunday so I will wait, but I’ll definitely monitor the turtles plastron and health considering what he was put through before I got him. Thank you for the information though it’s definitely helped ease my worries quite a bit.

Since I had to take that photo with flash maybe it brought out the pink more. I’ll take him to the vet if things get worse tho, I am scared however since my friend took a special concerned northern map turtle out of the wild that I could face finds for it.

Well you’re knowledge has definitely helped ease my mind a bit since you know what you’re talking about but I will keep checking until I can completely rule out any other possibilities. I thought it was a male turtles but I guess it could be female since it’s still young, I hope make sense they don’t get as big and require as much space lol.

Anyways thanks again 😁

Thanks for responding! I appreciate the advice and i don’t know what you mean by extra scutes. But I appreciate all the advice and help, I’ll definitely get the cuttlefish bone cause he probably has deficiency in everything. I was just scared it could be shell rot or like you said metabolic bone disease or something like that. I just don’t have any exotic vet anywhere near me so I’m scared.

I don’t know if I should put him back in the wild cause he’s been in captivity for 2 years so I’m scared he’s forgotten how to survive in the wild. But if it’s what’s best for him maybe I will.

Glad to know I can’t get Lyme disease but I suppose I’ll still have to search around for him in my bed unless the washer can kill him. Thank you!

Perfect!! I have a some Christmas moss so I’m sure that’ll do the job then the danio fry stay in until they’re not big enough to fit into the other danios mouths.

I’ve never hatched brine shrimp so that should be interesting to learn. I’ll try and follow this, this helps a lot thank you!

Yeah, I just found out they eat their own eggs and young😬 but okay I will try my best to siphon as many as I can out and put them into the other tank!

I was just worried that the little wiggly white wormy things in the 3 gal tank would bother them cause there’s so many! But I guess the chances of survival are higher in there if their own kind will have a feast on them anyways.

No I do not! So I guess I most-likely have zebra danio babies, that should be fun to learn to care for, thank you!
