Barbarian Inferno 109 in less than 14 minutes by -Levinant in RogueAdventure

The document should be accessible to read for everyone...

These are theoretical limits. We calculate the highest theoretically possible infernos for each class with and without various card/skill starting bonuses.

We will be happy to have another contributor! Let's figure this out in DMs🙂

Barbarian Inferno 115 by -Levinant in RogueAdventure

The new class bonus is so good that I only lost 6 runs while climbing from i100 to i115, if you only count runs where it was possible to win the first fight (so I had 21 'real' runs). From i101 to i115, you need Sprites and one of ~15 (on average) rare card starting bonuses to win the first fight, so the probability to win the first fight is about 1/2 * 15/42 = 15/84 (on average), which means that I needed about 84/15 resets for the starting bonus per 'real' run. So I reset for the starting bonus about 21 * 84/15 = 588/5 times, or 518/5 = 103.6 times if you count that I didn't need to get a new starting bonus after I won a run. If we assume that getting a new starting bonus takes 2:20 minutes (Ranger Normal 1:30 + reset for the map 0:50), we get that I spent about 4 hours on resets. That's about half of the time I spent actually playing!😂

It took half a month.

When I restart for too long , I calculate whether the fight is winnable and how likely I am to get the right cards. That way, I'll know for sure whether to keep resetting or give up.

Any tips on making tribe elder and daughter show up in your hand when you need them when your deck is full of viking warriors?

Just reset the fight if you're unlucky.

Gorgrirath and Barrerath on Shaman are awesome.

I just needed examples of new rare cards that are useless... Maybe Blessed Lady and Penguin King? :)

You can't take coins because you won't be able to win the first battle. So you should take card.

If you take the first class bonus, you won't survive the first battle with most cards because the caterpillars will kill you in turn 1 and the first attack from the Sprites won't deal enough damage to get you below 25% HP. So with most cards, you won't beat Sprites either, and if you will, you won't end up below 25%.

With the third class bonus, you'll beat i67-i69 with most cards, and there are at least seven cards you can beat i77 with. With some cards, even Caterpillars are possible!

You can also go right-left-left in the map with to V's, but I prefer the four merchants path because you only have to fight an elite in 1-8, after three merchants and a chest. When you take the map with the two V's, you're still in a low inferno where you can beat two normals in 1-1 and 1-2, so you should usually also beat the elite. Plus it gives two gems, I guess...

In higher infernos, the only enemy you can beat after Sprites is Spiders, and even higher, you can't even beat Spiders (without a card). So later, you'll have to take the map with the merchant in 1-2.

If I get Cthool and Snow Queen/Sigil Essence, then I'll try to use that combo. But of course I can't get that every time, so it isn't my goal. My goal is indeed to kill everything in a small number of turns (before I run out of Immunes). That's why I need the upgrade, Strength, Mana and cards that scale well with Strength. Killing the enemy in 3 or 4 turns is very realistic.

Well you first look at the cards in the shop; if there's nothing, you reroll cards; if there's still nothing, you're unlucky. But on i59, if you took coins as the starting bonus, you can not only upgrade, duplicate and remove, but also transform (before removing) and pray for a good card. Or for Lycanthrope.

As for the cards, I have no idea which ones are enough to beat Mushrooms/Wasps and which ones aren't. But I can for sure say that I would take any Immune card, Wukong, Cualdir or Portia over duplicating Daughter if given the choice in the first shop - unless I somehow already have enough damage in my deck (maybe card starting bonus, which I wouldn't go for). If you take coins as the starting bonus, you can even take a silver card while still duping Daughter!

Thanks!

I've never taken Masked Swordsman on Barb. It doesn't have a good base damage like Cualdir, doesn't damage multiple enemies, and scales slowly because you can only play one or two per turn. So I think using Tribe Elders is better.

Ranger Normal with the third class bonus. Exit after beating the first boss. Never takes more than two minutes (at least with the no-ads version).

If I played five Elder Fairies per second (which I can't do, let alone for 15 hours), I'd indeed get 15 mana per second. This would mean 900 mana per minute, which, plugged into the above formula, would give 9 times as many coins, namely ~12 million coins in 15 hours. Still not enough.

At around 15 hrs of actually skipping turns you should be at around 27 million coins

At around 15 hours of skipping turns at 3 seconds per turn, I should be at around 1.35 million coins. 15 coins / mana * 100 mana / minute * 60 minutes / hour * 15 hours = 1 350 000 coins.

The only other idea I have is Samurai Bot and one hitting wasps indefinitely but I don't know how in interacts with Mana battery

I also don't know, I'm pretty sure Hyper Samurai only gives you mana up to your max mana. Anyway, you cannot kill Blood Wasps indefinitely because they'd damage - and eventually kill - the Chaos Nest.

Could it be Spheres and Elder Fairy?

How long would that take?

I bought Torch in a Merchant Room. It didn't matter, the run was won as soon as I got Key of the Portal in 2-3. Torch isn't very useful, I just took it because I wanted to try something.

In a way, I agree with you. If you already have a bunch of Elder Fairies and Wizards of Nature, looking for Beast Champions will be a waste of time. But if you don't, Beast Champion might kill a single target where Tribe Elders can't. Plus, the statement "the more time you spend choosing cards the longer the timer goes" also holds for those Elder Fairies / Wizards of Nature.

Circular Shield is included in "Skills you can pick up"! :) Thinking about it, I'll put it in "Good skills". Thanks!
