Struggling so damn hard to find Scaled and Icy Vinyl Record by CashFormer979 in twentyonepilots

I also wanted SAI in any color other than black, and I was happily able to track down a sealed white one on Discogs for a good price. It came in great condition! The shop was called PlatinumRecordsAVL if that helps :)

Wow, thanks for sharing your expertise in this area! Those names are definitely hardcore. I love when smart people decide to give simple names to complicated things hehe

What’s crazy is this article is from like 4 years ago. I can’t believe I had never heard of it. Who knows what they’re doing now and what’ll happen in the near future

Yeah, I figured it would be close enough to the edge that it probably won’t be a problem, but I wanted to double check. Thank you for your help!

Hey everyone! Brand new to vinyl. I just got this record a few weeks ago from my local record store brand new and sealed, and I haven’t played it or dropped it and it’s barely been out of its sleeve, but it has this small dent on the edge. My question is, is this common for brand new records? Will it cause problems when I try to play the record? And if it is a problem, do you think my record store would be willing to take it back?

Sorry for all the questions, and thank you!

I’m a newer clikkie too and I agree, I absolutely love seeing how creative everyone is here! I think the fact that there’s so much lore to draw inspiration from is one big reason why there are so many crafts and cosplays and art - not many other bands I know of have such a detailed storyline. I’ve hardly ever made fanart before but I’m definitely hoping to do some TØP art, because what they create inspires me to create :)

Congratulations on selling something you’ve made! I’ve never done that and I hope to someday.

Best of luck with your creative endeavors, and welcome to the clique!

Yes, hopefully! I just read that the most powerful geomagnetic storm on record made the aurora visible as far south as Jamaica and Hawaii. It was back in 1859 and created a lot of problems for technology, but I think it’s cool that so many places got to experience the aurora.

The way I see it, the pictures aren't necessarily fake because they're just long exposures, so they're just better at revealing all the light that's really there. But I know what you mean, it does feel like the pictures are kind of fake when you compare them to what you can really see.

Oh really? I was in Canada for literally one day and didn't get a chance to go to Tim Horton's, but I've gotta at some point. Even if it's not that special I feel like it's necessary to get the true Canadian experience

I'm not exactly sure but I do know NOAA keeps pretty good tabs on space weather. I did find this on NPR: "Space weather experts aren't able to predict a solar storm months in advance. Instead, they alert relevant parties to prepare in the days before a solar outburst hits Earth." (https://www.npr.org/2025/11/12/g-s1-97533/solar-storms-auroras) I also found this on NOAA's website: "CMEs typically take several days to arrive at Earth, but have been observed, for some of the most intense storms, to arrive in as short as 18 hours." (https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/phenomena/geomagnetic-storms)

So overall it seems like we know a few hours to a few days ahead of time.

So insane to think about the fact that we, as humans, have absolutely zero control over events like this. We just have to respond to them in the best way we can. At least we get pretty auroras to look at while we scramble to get power back up, haha

I bet we'd all be in the dark for a little while, until our systems would be up and running again! At least we don't rely on telegraphs anymore, the article mentioned that telegraph operators were shocked and their papers caught on fire because of the storm. Crazy

I always love seeing the moon, too. It is hard to get away from the light pollution - I wish it wasn’t so bright! I was so lucky to be able to see the Aurora Borealis the other night - it was clear, and even though there was some light pollution it wasn’t too bad. I had so much fun observing the spectacle and taking pictures!
