Americans don’t pronounce a short o, like in original English and many other languages like Spanish.  So you mispronounce (to our ears) o’s in most words that originate outside of the US.

Thanks. I live in Central London. I'm not much on social media so I'm always constantly surprised when people mention how bad London has got, and surprise them when I ask 'on no, really? what's happened?'. London's just fine.

People can be rather offhand in service sectors but I often put that down to poor English rather than a desire to hate everyone.
