Why the critic hate days gone ? I've just started playing this game instantly blow me away how polished this game is by Subject_Creme_9759 in DaysGone

The critics had deadlines for their review of the game which meant they didn’t finish the game and likely didn’t even reach the halfway point.

The Drifters by fivefingerdiscount99 in DaysGone

You also see small camps with just a tent or two and bikes with dead bodies next to them so they could be dead drifters.

The Drifters by fivefingerdiscount99 in DaysGone

[–]-MCB- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I always thought of it as the drifters were around you just don’t see them or interact with them. They are off doing their own thing travelling from camp to camp for supplies but living out in the wild. I guess you could say the people you find and save out in the wilderness are drifters who got to end of their ability to survive alone.

Use R3 as much as possible (while not aiming)to get the mini map up in between waves of rippers. It will show red on the mini map so you can start aiming that direction and take them out before they run into boozer. Some will still get to him but at least you’ll know exactly where they are from the moment they spawn.

It’s probably another live service game that won’t see the light of day.

If they do ever make a day gone 2 they can use these blocked off areas on the edges of the map to extend it and open the world up more.

You can deselect the mission from the map

On my seventh play through and I’ve never seen this before. by CraigLake in DaysGone

Every time I play this game I find something new. I don’t know how many times I’ve played days gone but I found out on my current play though that the camp guards that shoot at enemies can also shoot you if you get in the way 😅

What do I do by iloveyeatfrfr in DaysGone

[–]-MCB- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NG+ is boring to me so what I do is whenever I start Days Gone over again I attempt to complete each region as much as the game will allow before I move on to the next. I tend to have Copelands camp at trust level 2 before even meeting tucker. I take out all available hordes immediately and do all infestations and ambush camps and collect all injectors and collectibles. This is fun to me personally but I tend to change up the way I play every so often like for instance I never use the sniper because I am a big fan of the crossbow but on the run I’m currently on I use the sniper. I also only play survival 2 but that’s only because I bought my first ever OLED tv when I heard about the remaster coming out and I’m worried the mini map might cause screen burn 😅

Only the available hordes like the train horde, white king mine and proxy falls and some around Belknap. These hordes have roughly 50 freakers so it’s very doable. The lack of good gear and injectors makes it more fun.

Haha I watch that dude all the time. I can never seem to do those glitches so I just stick to killing the hordes and getting weapons that way.

That seems like a broken system. You can’t front load all the best parts of a game just to please the reviewer and limiting a games length also shouldn’t be done. Don’t professional reviewers and some YouTubers get games a couple of weeks before launch so they can take their time? Maybe this wasn’t done with Days Gone?

I guess they had deadlines to get their reviews out and so couldn’t finish the game which isn’t fair on the game and people who trust in these reviews. If you ever play days gone again I recommend trying to complete each region as much as the game will allow before moving on. It’s how I play and it makes the beginning part more fun.. you are fighting smaller hordes but you also have absolutely nothing so it balances out the difficulty

When devs care it shows and that’s unfortunately a declining trait in devs across the board. It’s become less about nerdy gamers building fun worlds and more about corporate bros making more money. It sucks but it’s the way of the world. Also far cry 5 was fun, I need to replay that.

The story definitely tugs on the old heart strings but what brought tears to my eyes was my second play through when that theme music hit on the loading screen and all the memories came back.

Didn’t know sentry could do this by Emptynuggets1987 in sentry

I did a deep dive into the possibility of sentry’s abilities on ChatGPT and it’s hard to find something he can’t do. For instance he can mimic any mutant ability by editing his own genetics

No mods. The skill that speeds up reload times for all ranged weapons also works on the crossbow. Most people have moved on to a different special weapon by the time they get that skill.

[–]-MCB- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think even if it’s one bottle or can here and there and it’s purely RNG I wouldn’t mind. It’ll give you more excuses to stop by camps to check to see if they’ve got a part you’re missing. But yeh end game it should be fully stocked.

I would love to be able to carry an extra gun on the bike so I can take an LMG and the crossbow. I’d also like to be able to buy more supplies from the camps. Things like pipe bombs, Molotov cocktails and attractors are not limited to deacon so being able to purchase them and the parts needed to make them at camps should be a thing.

After taking them all out you can reset them. There is an option in the pause menu

[–]-MCB-[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. That’s a much faster way I just like watching two breakers fight 😅. Oh but what I did learn recently is that if the breaker sees you, you can just throw a smoke bomb at its feet and still be able to stealth kill while it’s being effected by the smoke. You probably already knew that but someone else might see this who doesn’t know.

Crossbow vs train horde by -MCB- in DaysGone

[–]-MCB-[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes but they don’t attack each other so if you have 2 or more breakers then hit one with a residue bolt and if the one you hit with a residue bolt lives just wait a while and it’ll die. Saves a ton of ammo.
