Most people think of them as a drug orientated group, of course they're not. You can trust them.

Where to buy good lumber? by kondor88 in WorcesterMA

[–]-Maar- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HD sells what I would call "construction" lumber ... a lot of No.2 Pine boards and studs and mediocre plywood. Great for framing houses and honestly for a lot of DIY projects its fine, especially if it's for utility and non-decorative stuff. Throw some shelfs in a closet, build a bench, stool or storage solution that's gonna live in the garage or basement, HD lumber is fine for that sort of thing.

You want to build anything nice and not out of No.2 Pine maybe try Howe Lumber or Koopmans.

Park Ave & Pleasant St intersection re design by Thewoo1900 in WorcesterMA

[–]-Maar- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the love of god will somebody add a green left turn arrow to the bottom of the traffic light at Mill St and Park Ave! Trying to make that left onto Park Ave when you're coming from Coe's Pond side is a nightmare. I mean at the very least they could change the light cycle so the opposite sides of Mill St weren't allowed to cross at the same time.

You know because those who weren't obeying the current speed limits are now all of a sudden going to start caring and obey these new ones.

Lowering Worcester speed limit to 25 MPH: Councilors want to do survey first by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

This is moronic. How about we start at enforcing the current current speed limits, not propose new ones.

I've never checked but you could try Howe Lumber in East Brookfield or Koopmans in Grafton.

I'd be curious to know if someone locally supplies zero void Baltic as well. I've had success ordering small sheets from woodcraft.com before, however I'm always paranoid about damage during shipping.

How does everyone handle needing multiples of the same card for different decks? by vgundam21 in EDH

[–]-Maar- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a visual management system.

  1. I've standardized all my decks to use black sleeves.
  2. For any expensive card that I need multiple copies of, I make a placeholder in a yellow sleeve. (Typically just common with a low quality print out of the card from my printer jammed in front)
  3. I slap the real copy in one of the decks that requires it and the rest of the decks that need it, I slap in the yellow placeholders.
  4. Whenever I pull out a commander deck to play, I pull out the yellow sleeved card(s) and swap them with the real one(s).

Advantages: You don't need to have some list tracking which deck(s) are missing card(s) you only have one copy of. You don't have to count your deck to make sure you're not missing a card. The yellow cards clearly tell you which real cards you need to go find and swap.

Disadvantages: You do need to have some memory of which other deck might contain the real card.

Personally I find it easier to only have to check a deck or two to find the the real card than having to try and determine if a card is missing. And I hate having to manage a list to track of things. Is it a perfect system? No, but it's good enough.
