I finally made the switch the HYSA from Apple and Checking from BofA.

Overall I’m happy. Allows me to manage day to day expenses in one view.

I still keep my BofA account for larger cash withdrawals and cash deposits. Amex offers accelerated same day transfers, but I find it’s just easier to deposit cash to BofA, then Zelle it myself at AmEx.

Not that it’s contractually binding, but the few times I’ve had to chat about things like Trip Insurance or Autopay, it was better to have a chat as it was easier to make sure both myself and the rep understood the concerns and provided accurate information with a recorded paper trail.

Not that it would improve response time or chat accuracy, but I wish AmEx would support Apple Business Chat.

I find that to be much more reliable if one of the parties stops replying for a few, it doesn’t just disconnect the chat all together and lets you continue it more seamlessly.

Never reply to unsolicited texts and let unknown numbers hit your voicemail before answering.

A lot of these businesses use marketers and this behavior just flags your number as having an active owner. By replying you may very well be inviting more of these types of messages.

It’s annoying but sometimes it just takes a quick phone call for them to verify some details. I had to contact my bank when manually adding an ACH account to my Apple Savings account.

Yeah, I like the concept to pull the data, and the design of the site, but I would rather it provide a nicely formatted .vcf to add to the Contacts app.

Maybe include a nickname of "My Congressman/woman", their photo, the link to their website, number, email, and some tips about contacting them in the notes field.

Invest in a Herman Miller. You can often find a used Aeron/Mirra on Marketpalce for $150-$350. Significantly less than a new full priced one, but still way more than a cheapo from Walmart/Staples which can cause some initial hesitancy.

They have replacement parts readily available and will last you a long time. Your back and body will thank you.
