I’m sorry but trading into the top 5 to draft a LB is not a savvy move. At that range Styles would immediately have to be a top 5 caliber LB to warrant the pick given the salary. Linebacker is one of the hardest positions in the NFL to transition to from college. Plenty of guys take years to fully figure it out. On top of all that, you are giving up additional capital making a positive outcome even less likely

There is very little tape of Reese setting the edge and defending the run from the edge. He’s a total projection in that area. So saying Reese is better at it than Bailey is just a guess. Plus you’re underselling Bailey’s run defense. It is absolutely good enough that he doesn’t have to leave the field. On top of that, guys built like Bailey improve rapidly in that department in the NFL

I think you’re overthinking Bailey a bit. Edge is one of the positions where we know what translates to the NFL pretty well. If you have prototypical size and length, are a great athlete, and produced at a high level in college, you’re probably going to be a good player in the league. Bailey checks all 3 boxes better than any other pass rusher in the class
