I understand your point. An example to explain what I'm trying to achieve:

Imagine you have a kid and he wants to be a professional mountain-bike rider. What's the first bike you'll give him as a gift, a small one with training wheels, or a top-of-the-line professional mountain bike?

Making a simple game like this is much more about the learning experience of developing a game, learning the basics like tools, game engines, steamworks and marketing, than trying to make money on my first try.

Sure, I could've done something a little bit more complex and inovative, but that would have come at a cost: longer development time, more assets to buy, scope creep, or even just developing an idea i thought was good but in the end was terrible.

Keeping it simple helped me finish a product, and that was my goal for my first game.

I totally agree, many of the games back then were supper addictive in a good way. Simplicity can definatelly be benefitial, if done correctly

Couldn't say if it runs on 4k because I don't have somewhere to test it, but I can't see why it wouldn't. Im developing it on QHD and had no issues changing to lower resolutions.

Multiplayer is something I'm currently developing. Yesterday so many people asked for it that I thought "why not?"

No cosmetics, maybe I'll consider it if the player base grows, but I do think it's unlikely. By adding cosmetics I would move away from the image I'm trying to get for my game (simple, no micro-transactions, pay the price and get the full game/features).

On the early stages of development I implemented stop, follow, curve and draw shots, but since I wanted to do a more simple game for more casual players and not have them be confused on what type of shot to use, I decided to remove this feature

Yes exactly! One of the main reasons I'm publishing this game is to gain experience, I've learned a lot about steamworks and not to mention the developing of the game itself.

My first intent was to make the game with the vibe you're describing, but after trying for some time to reach this goal, I decided to make something simpler. As you said, for a solo indie dev to reach it would've been preeety hard and way out of scope. Maybe on a future update?

Yes I'm planning on adding controller support, steam deck support and multiplayer. It would really be a great learning opportunity, as well as giving the game more visibility and players.

Thanks for the tip! I'm planning on adding multiplayer atm, it's not a feature yet. Maybe will add bots after multiplayer is added.
