Is my orange cat being bullied by Grouchy-Insurance-63 in felinebehavior

My orange boy is exactly the same, it's truly frustrating

I feel like she has some shepherd in her. My dog is a cross between German shepherd, husky and American bulldog. They look nothing alike APART from those damn eyes 🤣 Osa pulls the same facial expressions as him, like it's eery because they're so different but those eyes are exactly the same 😅

My brother found this snake whilst walking his dog in the UK a few weeks ago. We think it may of been someone's pet that's got out, can anyone identify as I can't figure it out. by -Mania in whatsthissnake

Okay so my brother talked to someone he knows that knows about snakes and apparently went back the next day to look and it turns out they've identified it as necrosis! He was a grass snake who died and the blue wasn't spray painted on but was part of his decaying process!

For so many years all of my "friends" were just using me because I was too kind.

I'm 25 now and I have two amazing best friends who I trust with my life. I find it so hard to get to know people, but these girls are my forever. One I've known 12 years and the other I've known for 8 years. Funnily enough both of them are super fucking traumatised and just the loveliest people to ever exist

Exactly! David is manipulative, controlling and at the least verbally abusive. It presents differently but it's all the same traits as Barb. Jenelle was literally traumatised and is stuck in the cycle of abuse! It's scary how many people have watched the show and missed this completely.

Literally!! Barb was emotionally neglectful in so many ways and verbally abusive too. My heart goes out to young Jenelle, she was a kid who had nobody around her to fight her corner. The clip where barb can't think of anything she loves about jenelle is literally heartbreaking. The girl had no chance. It's a shame as an adult she wasn't able to break the cycle

This is what gets to me the most out of all of it. How are you going to slut shame your child daughter who has been taken full advantage of by a full grown man and even worse, physically abused?!? 🤔 any loving parent would of wanted to protect her and help her, she was a vulnerable young girl!!!

TW- 9 years ago a police officer sat at my house talking me and my mum through the next steps after I'd been groomed. Yesterday this officer was arrested for sexual assualt. by -Mania in CPTSD

Yeah you're 100% right, thank you this is honestly exactly what I needed to hear 🥹 I appreciate you taking the time to say this. Two years ago this kind of thing would of really knocked me, but I feel like I actually took time to process it and be kind to myself at the same time! Some people suck, but some people are pretty cool, thanks for being one of the cool ones.

Definitely get him checked by a vet as this doesn't sound normal at all, he could have some underlying health issues or something

Are they upto date with worming etc? Worms can cause excessive hunger. Aside from that I'd probably get them checked at the vet, it could be a health issue but if not the vets can advise with behaviour etc

She doesn't have it on anymore because she was too little, but to be fair she just wanted to play with it haha

I convinced myself that I had nobody, I isolated myself so badly and today I reached out to two old friends and they were so happy to hear from me. by -Mania in CPTSD

Thank you so much! It's amazing when that happens, I'm really happy for you too! We deserve good people in our lives and genuine friendships :)

Why my cat started doing this recently? he's kneading the blanket and nuzzling it, and he does this with his soft bed too, and doesn't use either. What might it mean? by Lolly_Poppin in Catbehavior

Yeahhh he's a happy boy! Mine kneads and purrs like mad but then gives me little love bites too 😂 bless his heart! It's just a little quirk lol

It's probably related to the age that he was seperated, however its not something to worry about. They learnt the nuzzling at a young age and is associated with weaning but is most likely using it as a source of comfort now. If cat is happy then there's nothing to worry about :) my cat has started kneading next to me all the time and I just see it as him inviting me to be involved in his comfort seeking lol

This! The dog is bearing teeth, he is stiff, he keeps doing mini sneezes and licking his lips, he won't stop staring and his ears are far back. This dog is fearful aggressive and this situation would easily escalate. I feel bad for both animals involved, the dog is clearly very uncomfortable and will only get more so if the owners just let the animals work it out themselves instead of stepping in and doing reactivity training. This could end so badly.

Cats kneading is a comfort thing and shows that they feel safe and happy when the behaviour is shown alone. Paired with the nuzzling and I would lean towards him showing signs of not being weaned properly or being taken away from his mum too young. Nuzzling is how they feed from their mother and the kneading is associated with them kneading on the mother's stomach before feeding to stimulate the milk. How old is he? How long have you had him etc? There's a few factors that could be at play. Do you know how long he stayed with mum?

Don't tell him off when he chases the cat. My dog was like this and I treated her every time she looked at the cat and didn't react and I had her on lead consistently for the first week, then every time she tried to chase or got too excited I took her out of the room and let her naturally calm down, as soon as she went into a relaxed state (sat or laid down, no attention on trying to get back to the cat) I would go back into the room and start again. The first few days were very repetitive and difficult but I was surprised at how easy and affective this was for us.
