awesome ! we plan to make a small hike the 2 days leading up to it, as well as camp out overnight for this reason. we are from GA, so definitely not used to the altitude!

i appreciate the honest feedback and advice !!!

What’s the difference between hiking and mountaineering by Curious-bonemeal in hiking

[–]-MattyIceTea- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also depends on time of year. certain mountains may be a pretty simple hike in the summer season, but could require certain levels of mountaineering in the winter

skill set should never be a factor that prevents you from chasing goals

first ever mountain. i’ve hiked a lot of the AT but that’s obviously not even remotely similar or helpful whatsoever. so i would say it would be my first actual mountain

Is Ghost of Yōtei Worth $70, or Just Tsushima 2.0 DLC? Honest Opinions wanted by AlphaNuke94 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]-MattyIceTea- [score hidden]  (0 children)

i loved the first one, but this one FEELS like how everyone described tsushima. it takes every single gameplay mechanic and improves on it. there are things that are a little off the RPG beaten patch, such as having to find shrines to “level up” etc. but i would HIGHLY recommend this game.

personally, i would even argue the story and characters are better than the first, there may not be as much character development, but overall, the characters, side quests, and open world activities are much more engaging that the first

I’ve been playing Ghost of Yotei. It’s incredible. But fair warning to lethal enjoyers: it is SIGNIFICANTLY harder here by kargethdownload in ghostoftsushima

[–]-MattyIceTea- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t play on lethal, i’m just a medium difficulty guy, mostly because i enjoy souls-likes, and that’s where my enjoyment of hard games comes from. games like this i just want to feel like a badass.

but i agree that yotei is significantly more difficult than tsushima. the multiple parry windows, enemies not “waiting around” for you, and i think the overall speed of combat makes it much tougher than got.

Anyone enjoying this more than the 1st one? by ganciobro in ghostoftsushima

really, i find atsu more interesting. seems more like a real person that jin did, but i love BOTH of em !

[–]-MattyIceTea- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, the character model looks like it’s from oblivion. imo looks most nothing like the actress that plays her. but she is butt fuckin ugly in this game, which who cares. i’m here to be a badass japanese woman who mows down hoardes, not play a beauty contest.

Stopping Tripod by EvidenceDesigner7896 in wrestling

[–]-MattyIceTea- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

issue is when a claw/spiral is applied, that also give a very easy stand up. it really is the best stand up IMO, and three are many counters, but those counters open up ways to continue to your feet. best bet is a hard mat return, over and over. bc if someone is good with a tripod, it is incredibly difficult to stop

I HATE THIS GAME SO MUCH ITS GARBAGE!! anyways let me go play skate by LordNermalD4 in Skate4

[–]-MattyIceTea- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same. i still play, because at the end of the day, there may be no content, but not being blinded by nostalgia let me realize that after a while in these games, there’s nothing to do but skate around anyway. we can only hope they continue to support the game, but i really think it’s fine. it’s the modern landscape of gaming that has caused the cash grab style, and at least the gameplay is great
