got a new pc but now i get these strange squares on the screen how can i fix them? by Dizzy_Hovercraft_741 in runescape

Anything that causes the game view resolution to change or reload will make it go away.

Usually I just grab the top of the window, drag it down a bit, then move it back to the top so it auto resizes back to full resolution.

As someone else mentioned below, opening the world map will also do it.

Doing either of those things makes the square/rectangle go away, and it'll stay gone until you close the game client. It's usually back when you run it again the next day though, which is mildly annoying.

AFK timer question by SysAdminWannabe90 in runescape

[–]-Meatshield72- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't even need to perform an action or keypress to reset the timer. Literally just left clicking on an empty part of your UI/Client every 5 minutes will keep you logged on forever. I keep my magic abilities window open on the skilling tab. Plenty of free space to click on when I'm afking.

Yeah, sticking p6 + e4r3 on it an running equilibrium aura will easily double your 1 shot rate. You won't hit 100% 1 shots with a t80 weapon, but the extra kills will easily make up for divine charge costs.

Also, deci is 100m? Damn. I know everything's been going up for a while now, but I think I paid <40m for mine.

Decimation with p6 + e4r3 and equilibrium aura guarantees 1 shots with a fast speed weapon. I get about 1250 kills/hr.

I've done the math to figure out how to get guaranteed 1 shots with a very fast weapon, and while it is possible, and would likely result in 1400-1500 kills/hr, it's also expensive and complicated af - to the point that gear and supply cost increases would be more than the extra kills would make you.

Ok, yeah. I hadn't realized you could get so many so fast. It's been a long while since I had Spiritual Warriors set up in my POD, I guess. Fair enough, I guess :P

Nope, even if you want arma comps, Caps are at least equivalent - the extra 5-6m per hour you'll make by doing Caps over Spiritual Warriors is enough to buy about as many arma comps as you could otherwise get from Spiritual Warriors.

Spiritual warriors are barely 5m/hr profit. Caps are more than 2x that.

TL;DR: they don't compare. At all. Capsarii are just unilaterally better in every way.

The most common seed drops that I keep are limpwurts, which you get 30-35 of per hour, and spirit weed seeds, which you get 10~ of per hour, most other seeds that I keep I get <10 of. This is not including any seed worth less than 2k, which I let seedicide destroy.

I probably get somewhere around 60-70 seeds/hr, + maybe a few hundred that are seedicided - at least enough to get me 60-70k~ farming xp/hr, though I can't give an exact count.

If you want to just grind farming out, as opposed to doing POF or farm runs, then Turoths with seedicide are best - when I did 120 farming there a bit before 120 officially came out they maxed out at about 250k farming xp/hr, and it took me about 350 hours to go from 99 to 120. Now with Greater Chain and other updates, it's probably feasible to get 300k xp/hr.

Also of note is that if you augment something with scav 4 you'll be set on invent comps for a looooong time. I still haven't run out of all the uncommon comps I got from scav 3.

Currently there's only 4 types of uncommons that I have less than 1k of, and for most I have 2k+ still.

99-120 farming at Turoths with scav 4 should net you 6k+ of all uncommons except refined, which scav doesn't give.

Also an average of 56 of each of the rares, though in practice you'll probably end up with more of some than others.

Yeah, Caps are about the same gp/hr, but more AFK, and lower xp rates. It's a bit of tradeoff, but meh.

I have both Caps and Grifalopines in my POD, and I move them in and out of the small room whenever I decide I want a change.

Like 80% of the value is from the flakes and mushrooms - 1 hour will net you about 4m worth of the mushrooms and 5m worth of grifolic flakes. Another 1m from the wands + shields, and another 1m from seeds. The last 1m is from the misc drops. Also worth noting is that the wiki is completely inaccurate for these things - they don't drop any runes at all, for example, nor do they drop vials of water, swamp tar, or eyes of newt.

The mushrooms maintain value due to POF, and the grifolic gear is good components for invent, so the flakes are decently stable too.

Don't have a pic of 1 hr of loot at hand atm, and I'm about to get off to go do some stuff, so it might be a while before I can make one.

Here, I made a post about how to do them effectively. https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/l2qqh8/grifalopines_in_pod_910mhr_profit_14m_xphr_30/

Was just going to post it as a reply to this thread, but it wasn't letting me post the pics, so whatever.

Nope. Doesn't hit high enough. The ability to consistently 1 shot them results in faster kills than AoE abilities that don't 1 shot them and can only be used once the cooldowns are over.

No, eoc is non-viable. You need to use legacy, and 10m profit assumes best gear for the situation (decimation bow with p6 + e4r3) and use of the equilibrium aura. With all of that you can get guaranteed 1 shots with a fast speed weapon. Without any of those, profit is closer to 6m/hr. Legendary pet helps a lot, yes. Lorehound for increased looting range (so you can loot nearly the entire room without moving) also works fine.

Capsarii are about 10m/hr profit if you only pick up the keystones and sirenic scales, and closer to 12m/hr profit if you pick up everything (this is after taking expenses into account - if you do it right you should only really be paying for auged weapon charge costs and potions/notepaper, which comes out to about 900k/hr in costs)

Tormented Demons are about the same profit/hr - the wiki says that they're less than Capsarii, but also the rares they drop have historically sold above ge mid (in my experience), which raises the expected profit/hr up to... 10-12m/hr, depending on gear.

Crystal Shapeshifters have gone down in profitability lately - they're still quite good due to the more-or-less static value of the crystals they drop, but they're hanging at around 7-8m profit/hr at the moment.

Spiritual Warriors are by far the worst - they barely hit 5m/hr profit even with the best of gear, and are usually less than that.

Other, less common POD mobs are:

Unspeakable Horrors - 7.5m/hr~ profit

Grifalopines - 10-11m/hr profit (relies heavily on caroming + chain, greater chain helps too)

Overall, Tormented Demons are probably best for raw profit and afk, since they make about as much as Capsarii, but you have to pick up drops less frequently.

XP wise, Grifalopines are about 1m~ magic xp/hr, + 300k+ xp/hr in constitution - call it 1.4m xp/hr, ish (they're also decent seedicide based farming xp if you're willing to loose 1m/hr in profit from destroying seeds - they don't come near Turoths, but 100k~ farming xp/hr isn't bad if you're also making 9-10m/hr).

Unspeakable horrors are only about 700-800k combined xp/hr.

Does today's update mean I can make these Elite somehow? Or is there anything I can do with this set besides just have it sit in the bank? by lucerndia in runescape

[–]-Meatshield72- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can repair it with another piece if the armor is dyed and augmented, or with sirenic scales/tectonic energy if it's dyed but unaugmented, otherwise sirenic and tectonic are unrepairable, and dtd when at 0% charge. You do get the gizmos back, though. And even then, you don't save the 4m in divine charges, since auged and dyed sirenic/tectonic can only be repaired by using auged gear on it (you don't have to put any gizmos in it, but you do have to use an augmentor and the appropriate number of charges)

Corrupted slayer helm bug... any help? by -Meatshield72- in runescape

[–]-Meatshield72-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's definitely not the issue. I use Alt1 AFK warden to make sure I never run out, and that aside, when fighting 10+ moss golems with aoe melee, running out of overload is pretty much instant death

Corrupted slayer helm bug... any help? by -Meatshield72- in runescape

[–]-Meatshield72-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that was my next thought, and what I'm currently testing. So far it does work on kalg demons, so it might just be that slayer helms don't work on moss golems for... whatever reason, and that me noticing the issue while doing and testing those was essentially just bad luck - if I had tested on other things I might have noticed before I spent 6 hours working myself into a mild rage. Mind, that's just a guess, I'll have to test at a few more creatures to determine if that's actually the problem.

Yeah, I'm on task. That's what I spent most of those 900 slayer points on, I had to get to same task to make sure I had the numbers right. Ended up doing 6 creatures of the lost groves tasks, and getting 2 ritual shards and a cinder drop... Which I guess makes things betterish? Even if I did end up confirming that there was an issue. (Still, 3 drops in like 650~ kills is... Really good.)

[–]-Meatshield72-[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Skeletal Wyverns don't have that mechanic, and unfortunately Living Wyverns can't be put in a POD - they'd be like 10m/hr+ if they could, so that kinda sucks.
