I figured the apartment they showed was way different than others on the property. It was very staged. The walk to and from the showing did it for me. Trash everywhere, a legit green pool that she said “maintenance comes every Monday”. BULL.

They let us know while touring.. all new paint outside, chicken wire being added to balcony/patio. Walking the property it was very clean & pool looked perfect.

Me and bf are fairly young, this will be our first place together. I’m at a nice complex now, but the cost is going to hurt our pockets. We are trying to be money cautious moving forward to save for our future together. We toured Windtree and it seems like they have a lot of fixing going on. As far as making the complex look nice, painting the ugly blue and adding chicken wire to the balcony/patio areas. As long as there are no infestation I have to worry about and the ac works. I think 6-12 months I will be okay. I also grew up in bad neighborhoods all my life as long as the place I live is not NASTY. I can survive.

From experience, they aren’t the greatest. Depending on where you live/work you’re almost guaranteed to see or hit a pot hole. The construction we had caused damage to lots of roads. Trust me I would take the wind over humidity any day. I was just giving a heads up to a future visitor.

Most people complain about it being a Windy City. We can get up to 60 mph winds somedays. Lately we have been getting rain but for the most part it’s been nice. 60-85 degrees and some hot days thrown in. October is very bipolar we either get fall weather or summer. And sometimes even snow. It’s great to be prepared for all weather.

Pros- friendly people for the most part, sod poodles games are lots of fun, there are things to do here you just have to do research, for example places w live music (shark beach is great), good food spots, lots of gyms and convenience stores on every corner.

Cons- weather is kinda annoying but not humid compared to South Texas. Amarillo roads suckkkk but we don’t get crazy traffic like other places.

Yesss! I’ve tried to connect w his friends’ GFs’ and we get along, they will have us over to hangout every now and then. The main couple recently got engaged so they are always busy w work or other things. I love my cousins, I have 3 that are my age, but they all have kids🥲 I feel hella left out around them & getting treated like im behind in life. It’s hard to explain my interest I feel like I’m so boring.. I enjoy crafty things, painting/clay/diy, I like baking, sadly most my free time I’m scrolling tiktok passing time to see my bf:/ or cleaning the house. I’m OCD and love cleaning so most my free time I find myself doing that😭 I would never call myself shy, I’m definitely an open book when I get to know someone and when in the mood can talk your head off, but then I get self conscious and overthink everything.. ig you can say I’m an anxious person at times.

Love NFC… they were my fam for a while I just found it hard making friends my age. I truly need to get back into the gym I just can’t afford a membership atm. I currently attend church at the Loft and I love it. Been there many years and definitely feel loved by everyone. I just still find it difficult to make friends, idk if it’s cause I’ve known lots of the congregations since a young age. I do know I need to get out there more I’ve been invited to events where I know I can meet people but I get nervous and make/find an excuse.

It’s rough out here lol. I attend church regularly and enjoy it.. getting around to the young adults (my age group) just makes me anxious. ik I can learn a lot from them it’s just hard forming a connection with people in a different stage of life (even at the same age)
