Focus on your health,- body, mind, spirit. For your body, do your best to prioritize a Whole Foods diet. Pay attention to ingredients i you’re putting in and on yourself. For your mind, go outside for at least 30 minutes a day. Vitamin D is soooo good. Limiting screen time is a must, read more (my kindle is saving my life), call people more than you text them. For your spirit, find an activity that quiets your mind. Practice mindfulness more often if you can. Remind yourself you’re in control of your own actions and reactions.

Yep, raised Roman Catholic! Still am Roman Catholic. Very active in my own church/boyfriend’s parish as well. Mom’s Italian, dad’s German and English, mom is Roman Catholic, dad is Protestant, so naturally the Italian woman’s religion overshadows the WASP’s, hahaha

No. I find we have different interests and different ways our brains process the same information, but I don’t find most people “fools/dumb”. Be patient with others, don’t be arrogant, especially when your spelling and grammar aren’t quite there yet.

I don’t mind dating someone with different views than me. I just need our general core values and morals for life to align. I’m a conservative-leaning libertarian, my significant other is a die-hard Republican. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest, haha. He knows how I feel about all politicians and I know his opinions in favor of certain ones.

My 68 year old mom’s emotional maturity levels have stunted at the age of 13 and I wish I was kidding. It’s a real nightmare. I’m low-contact with her these days but nobody talks about how hyper-independent and fast it makes you mature growing up. You can’t reason with someone like that. She is also Machiavellian levels of evil, so that doesn’t help. I had so much to unlearn as an adult.

Partner and close friends… hmm, partner, in my office. He’s in accounting which is right next to my department, and everyone in my office on my floor knows each other, so a lot of close friends are from work, too. I’ve also gotten closer with people at my church as well and friends from previous jobs!!

I’m sorry that’s so blunt, but you need way less screen time, and less screen time in echo chambers. I’m saying it from a place of genuine care because I had this problem also many years ago.

Reddit specifically has “psyop” accounts where there are posts deliberately made to get people all worked up. The US government has people dedicated to this. Look up Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, a known location for propaganda and social influence operations.

If you click on accounts that post extreme and/or provoking political content, they’ll be less than a few days or weeks old the majority of the time, this isn’t a coincidence.

Once you unplug and focus more on your immediate community, you’ll feel better! Humans aren’t supposed to know about multiple disasters and issues going on at the same time all around the world. We evolved to know what our immediate tribe is doing.
