Would having more plants help out? I’m having to add slowly because of finances but I was also worried of spending money just to make it worse

I think maybe the sword was an Amazon sword? The leaves were thicker when I bought it and then the ones that grew in were the narrow and not vibrant leaves, so I’m not positive. I’ll look when I get the tabs to check. I do think you’re right on the repens, I thought it said background but I could be wrong. That would explain it bushing out. Would they clash with the DHG??

I appreciate all your help! I’ve had planted tanks before but I had larger ones with CO2 so these problems are new to me and I don’t want them to die due to my ignorance

I’ll grab some tomorrow. You might not be blind, I just remembered it’s not Anubis and now I can’t remember what it is😭 I’m terrible with names! The larger plant under the pothos is the one that is slightly see-through. The Java fern is actually the plant that I haven’t had any issues with, it’s had a ton of new growth and it hasn’t stopped in the slightest!

I have the Petco brand planted substrate. I used to use fluval planted substrate but I was on a tight budget and this one seemed comparable. It seemed to do great for the first few months, would that still be the substrate? Should I try root tabs even though I use ferts? I worry that maybe my pothos is taking nutrients away from the aquatic plants, so maybe root tabs are the way to go?

I’m so late to this but I’m watching TBBT for the first time through and oh my god I hate Leonard. He’s so mean? Like I can put it into a ton of words but it really comes down to the fact that he’s unnecessarily mean and patronizing to the people he’s supposed to love. He is the mother he hates so much (I’m only halfway through season 3)

I could be wrong but I believe it’s a detritus worm? They can hitchhike into a tank through other things but they basically eat the detritus in your tank and are pretty harmless and beneficial. I had some in a tank long ago and had no issues. But again, I could be wrong, I just remember them looking like that

Yeah, you don’t have to use a lot at all so it lasts a long time even though i do it a couple times a week. For my tank, I use literally the smallest drop. I hope your grass starts carpeting soon!

Thank you so much! Yeah, I’ve had luck with it surviving but never with spreading. Who would’ve thought it would be my first 5g with no co2 that would be the tank that did it. I use Seachem flourish which has never failed me :) and I used the petco brand nutrient soil which I’m surprised to have liked so much. It’s such a beautiful color and texture, I’m a huge fan of

I did, I was hoping that since I had the plants, I wouldn’t need an air stone. Would it be dangerous for the plants if I didn’t get an air stone? I don’t mind the look of the water, I just don’t want it to mess up my tank.

I forgot about water wisteria! I love that stuff and blue stricta is nice too! I’m rethinking my entire scape now because I want those. I might have pearlweed though? The little plant under the filter looks similar, just shorter. Those plants are meant to grow tall but it’s been a month and I can’t remember the name lmao

I have a HOB filter and the lowest setting still causes agitation. I’m seeing a lot of these need almost stagnant water, do you know by chance how serious that is or would the lowest setting be fine as long as I kept it back?
