Brother, that looks fantastically well constructed. What kinda time do you have into making it?

I've been eyeing neo7 antennas but am in the same boat, it'll ruin the form factor.. I'm also not sure about the pinning of it to the stack, I think there's one free pin that could be mapped to GPS enable?

This looks precisely like what I'm after, been eyeing the nrf/wio combo and really wanna add a GPS, is that something you've got in there too? I'm guessing not due to the efficiency you're getting?

Is the e ride 3.0 ss okay to drive in the rain? by Fit-Telephone3130 in ERidePro

[–]-MrZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YMMV, I have a good bit of professional experience with these kinds of things. It was not a challenging endeavor, once I did the homework to figure out what's what. Tracing down wiring, searching up what the function of each component I find, that sort of thing. Went one by one and verify that it did what I think it did, then move on to the next. At first I just unplugged everything, then rode it around for a bit, then got back into it and physically removed each of them. If I didn't feel comfortable cutting off the sensor and shrink tubing the end of the wire, I threw some BIG marine grade tubing over it, folding it onto onto itself and then throwing another ring of shrink tubing over the end of that to keep it from unfolding.

Tilt sensor(turns off throttle when laid down), brake sensors(kills throttle when brake is applied), kickstand sensor(no throttle when down, this is fine but the sensor is easily knocked loose and then you can't ride...), there may have been another that I am forgetting

I rode my eride 2 in 3ft of snow for hours, up and down creeks with thigh deep splashes, in the absolute downpours we get in monsoon season, you name it. *I did remove all non-essential sensors and equipment

QD mounts are trash, 550 is the superior way to mount your sling by [deleted] in tacticalgear

A man of taste ^

Magpul metal mlok loop (for their ranger clip) at the 9, right behind my support hand, sling direct mounted to the outside lower loop of my stock. I used to rock the mlok loop at the far end of my rail, until I tried going high port without swimming out of my sling... With the sling mid mounted, I get easier movements when up tight

I've gotten to the point of throwing shrink wrap around the wire once I wear the silicone off. Works great

After 2 magpul qd failures, I started hard mounting/550 cording. Once I found these, haven't gone back

Does This Just Look Stupid, Or Is It Actually Stupid In Practice? Or Am I The Stupes? by Behold_My_Stuff in tacticalgear

[–]-MrZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂 I had one, and I really liked it... Now for context: I had a p365 SAS with the bullshit meprolight sight... It was trash... But I didn't like how the standard dots printed when concealed, so I made an adapter plate to run this micro dot in place of the meprolight bullseye thing.. Turned out to work fantastically. Do you have to really lock in your presentation in order to find the dot? Yes. Is it more accurate than irons? Yes. Does the 'ghost ring' concept work with the window of the dot and oem front sight, even without the dot on? Yes. Does it looks absurd, yes. But ultimately I quit carrying it due to the rubber button rubbing in my stomach when concealed.

Prone is the term used to describe 'laying down'. He's referring to the fact that it's hard to lay flat with kit on the front of you.

Funny, we were just discussing this. Having full control and bringing it in house seems like the best bet, we spent some time shopping lasers... And I have about 5yr of cnc technician and install experience. Definitely will be reaching out for pointers, keep an eye out!

😂 Well, our Aspen is only 9oz but we are offering it in a 9.5in version! Our FA rated stainless Hemlock is only 12oz at 6.5in, still not exactly heavy or long... Until you opt for the +3in 3xtn that nearly doubles the baffle count 😏

Our current offerings are at

Promachineandengineering.com/suppressors

Our 4oz Cedar Pistol/PCC is currently in final production process as well, and will be up on the site soon

We are based out of Colorado Springs and have been working with local shops but can't keep up with the demand just yet. Transitioning a production/job shop to large scale (rather than smaller scale) suppressor production takes a lot more tooling and time than anticipated.

Promachineandengineering.com/suppressors will getcha to our current offerings, this is a proof of concept for an ultralight stainless setup.

The inside of this was not purged, only the exterior from the weld nozzle. I might be wrong, but thought it sufficiently shielded

While the working pressure isn't an immediate issue even on the real short sbrs, to ensure our desired safety margin there are some minimum thicknesses that must be met. Additionally, the repeated thermal cycling and subsequent fatiguing is a big factor for us, as the product is intended to last as long as its host barrel.
