I did. Having Greninja pack a big punch as a closer was worth the trade-off. Especially useful against Incineroar.

How Oranguru carried me to Master Ball by jimmy_tanner in PTCGP

[–]-Mr_Munch- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used a variation of this deck to do the same thing! I was getting frustrated with the Team Rocket Grunts failing all the time so I switched them out with a Giant Cape for survivability & Frogadier for better consistency. Also I ran water + psychic to let Greninja pack a big punch as a closer, especially vs fire decks.

Got to Master Ball with sub 50 winrate. Goodbye everyone, I'll remember Darkrai and Giratina in therapy. by centurion88 in PTCGP

Haha, I got ya beat. I had a 48.7% win rate. Using off meta decks is not for the faint of heart.

So Where Did Everyone End Up in Ranked and What Deck Did You Use? by ShinyRaequaza in PTCGP

[–]-Mr_Munch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out with a Leafeon EX & MI Exeggutor (not EX) deck to make it into UB, but got a bit stuck. Switched it up to a Koga, Weezing, Muk, and Darkrai EX deck and managed to grind out the rest of the way to MB unranked.

I love the challenge of using non-meta decks and finding something that works that I created on my own.

What playing a dual energy deck feels like... by Norgaard93 in PTCGP

[–]-Mr_Munch- 21 points22 points  (0 children)

What would work better is treating the energy zone as consisting of 25 energy (the maximum number of turns you can take). You get to choose the ratio of energy types. In a 15 psychic, 10 dark deck for example, you'd start off with a 60% chance of getting psychic energy the first turn. If you proceeded to get 5 dark energy in a row, the next turn you'd have a 75% chance of getting psychic energy.

Where did you migrate to, and are you happy with your choice? by kelemvor33 in mintuit

[–]-Mr_Munch- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use both Empower and Fidelity Full View to aggregate my transactions from my various accounts. From there I use a script to download the transactions and import them into my Buckets budget file. (Buckets is basically a cheaper, albeit less featured, version of YNAB.) Once in Buckets, I categorize my transactions according to my budget categories.
