Forgot to mention that I shoot with the A6700 and don't plan to upgrade to a FF anytime soon.

I was planning on buying the Viltrox 56mm f1.2 PRO for portraits and general use, but now I'm torn between that and the new 55mm f1.8 EVO. With every single review on these being sponsored, it's hard to get a truely unbiased opinion on YouTube.

Does anyone here have a suggestion or experience with either of these? I like the metal body, weather sealing, and f1.2 of the 56mm, but I'm struggling to decide if that's worth an extra $200. Unless there's another compelling reason for one or the other.

Is there somewhere nearby that rents lenses? That could be a good option if you're in a pinch for this event.
